In 2015, Mraz embarked on a second marriage. He and Christina Carano tied the knot in the lush forests of Virginia at the Pole Green Historic Church in Mechanicsville, which holds special significance for Mraz as it is where he grew up. Like his previous marriage, this did not result in children.

Though the exact timing of his divorce from Carano remains unclear, Mraz candidly addressed his marital status and the absence of children in his life during an interview where he reflected on his return to his hometown, Mechanicsville, Virginia. He said:

"I don't have children; I'm not married anymore. I'm very much still like I was when I graduated high school, which is awesome in some ways. Going back home makes me feel grateful for the crazy life that I get to live."

He walked the hospital's corridors, sang to children in their rooms, and even hosted a heartwarming concert in the hospital's lobby. A touching moment was when he performed "Have it All" for a young patient named Taylor in the Neurosciences Center.

Being able to openly talk about his dating experiences within the queer community with friends is a big change from how he used to keep things secret. He said he knows his current self but is unsure about the future and the relationships he may form.

But Mraz shared that his journey of coming out was tough at first. He realized he wasn't being true to himself and following society's expectations. This led him to make a big change in his life, and although it was scary, it's been fulfilling and liberating.
