Josh Allen's Parents: Facts about LaVonne & Joel Allen
Football sensation Josh Allen came from humble beginnings. While he ventured far from the toiling fields to pursue a career in sports, the family farm and his parents played a pivotal role in shaping Josh's journey toward athletic success.
Today, Josh is celebrated as the standout quarterback for the Buffalo Bills in the National Football League (NFL). His amazing accomplishments owe much to the support of his parents, Joel and LaVonne Allen.
Josh comes from a family tied to a noble profession: farming. The athlete is deeply grateful for his parents' backing, frequently expressing his love and indebtedness on social media.

Josh Allen's Parents Are Farmers
Josh's parents, LaVonne and Joel, came from a family of farmers. They own land called Allen Ranch in Firebraugh, California. The couple raised their four children on the ranch, including sons Jason and Josh and daughters Nicola and Makenna.
Among their kids, their two sons were particularly helpful on their dad and Uncle Todd Allen's farm. Joel and his brother Todd's 3,000 acres of land cultivate Pima cotton, cantaloupes, and wheat. Joel and Todd are third-generation farmers.
Joel once pondered the possibility of their children, especially Josh, taking over the farm. Yet, it now seems unlikely, as their children have their own interests and directions in life. Joel said:
"I would love for my sons to get into the business but the stress is agonizing. I frowned upon my boys getting into this because I don't want them enduring sleepless nights and constant worry."
Joel begins his farm work at six in the morning and doesn't return home until approximately eight in the evening. If he pursued farming, Josh would become the family's fourth generation of farmers.
Although Josh did not follow in his family's farming pursuits, he once expressed his love and gratitude to his parents on Instagram, saying he owes the world to them and plans to give back someday.
Meanwhile, LaVonne once owned The Farmer's Daughter, a restaurant where farmers often gather for hearty breakfasts before tending to their crops.
The Allen Legacy in Firebaugh
The family's farming legacy traces its roots to Josh's great-grandfather, Arvid "Swede" Allen. Arvid, a Swedish immigrant, made its way to Ellis Island in the U.S. in 1907 and eventually settled in Firebaugh during the Great Depression.
In 1975, Josh's grandfather, A.E. "Buzz" Allen, took up the mantle and established the family farm. Besides transforming their land into a thriving farm, he also rose as a community leader.
Buzz became the first president of the Firebraugh-Las Deltas Unified School District and dedicated 12 years to serving on the board. His dedication to education and his hometown led to a remarkable act of generosity: he donated a portion of his land, which became the site for Firebraugh's high school.
The kind act was driven by Buzz's desire to ensure that Firebraugh residents did not have to travel long distances to attend schools like Dos Palos High School, which was 15 miles away.
Lavonne Is a Former Restauraterur
Meanwhile, LaVonne once owned The Farmer's Daughter, a restaurant where farmers often gather for hearty breakfasts before tending to their crops. She has since sold the restaurant to support Josh's career.
LaVonne's responsibilities included managing logistics and overseeing agents and financial advisers. Her support for Josh closely resembled that of the latter's other siblings.
She fondly remembered how her son Jason had always been there for Josh since childhood. She recounted moments when Jason would call her excitedly to share the latest updates about Josh.
Josh, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills in the NFL, has developed a deeper appreciation for his mom's sacrifices. During a past Mother's Day celebration, he paid a sweet tribute to LaVonne and described her as his "great supporter."
The star athlete is among many sports celebrities who have gained attention due to their captivating family lives, like Coco Gauff, Naomi Osaka, Tommy Paul, DeAndre Hopkins, Simone Biles, and Jose Altuve.
