This Girl Who Lost Rock Legend Dad When She Was 1 Has Remarried after Battling with Ex over Dad’s Guitar
- The baby girl in the cover photo lost her rock legend dad when she was just one year and a few months old.
- She fought for her dad's iconic guitar during her divorce from her ex-husband.
- It was recently reported that she has remarried to iconic Tony Hawk's son.
The baby girl in the cover image was born to legendary parents in the entertainment industry. Her mother is a well-known American singer and songwriter, and her late dad was one of the most iconic rock musicians who co-founded an incredibly popular and successful band.

Having lost her dad when she was only one year and a few months old, the girl with famous parents did not get to experience many father-daughter moments and memories. However, that did not mean that her dad did not love and adore her.

Prior to his death, the legendary rocker and his fellow band members sat down for an interview and the young dad was asked about fatherhood. Aside from the jokes and wisecracks the group shared here and there, the icon who held onto his baby girl in his arms and lap and beamed down at her from time to time, answered:
"It's wonderful. It's great."
Although the interview mostly depicted the artist and his band members joking around, he expressed that he was—in his own way—teaching his daughter how to have a rockstar attitude. Though he didn't get much time to nurture her personality, his bandmates confirmed that his daughter is the spitting image of her father.

In 2015, the daughter opened up for the first time about her dad since his passing, and she recounted a story. She recalled how, during a visit from her dad's former band members, they were stunned by how much she looked like her father. As she sat down on an armchair and started smoking, she recalled them telling her:
"You are doing exactly what your father would have done."

Her ultra-famous father tragically took his own life at just 27 years old, as confirmed by the police after an electrician, who had gone to his home to do some work, discovered his body. Naturally, having built an incredibly illustrious career that saw him and his band sell almost 10 million copies of their 1991 album worldwide, among other successes, the world stood still once the news of his death was announced.

Far from wanting anything to do with the spotlight and all Hollywood had to offer, the late legend struggled with his unprecedented fame. According to news outlets, he also battled with drug problems, and at one point, he and his wife had lost custody of their daughter before regaining it.

All this is to say that the iconic singer dealt with a lot of tough times during the course of his life. When his body was discovered, authorities also found a note beside it. According to a pop culture outlet, the ending of that letter was addressed to his wife and his baby girl:
"Please keep going Courtney...For her life will be so much happier without me. I love you..."

Life after Death and How the Late Icon's Daughter Fought for Her Dad's Famous Guitar during Her Divorce Settlement
The young woman born to ultra-famous parents, Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain, and who lost her iconic dad when she was just a baby is Frances Bean Cobain, 31. During the same interview when she opened up about her late dad, Frances explained her perspective on her father's suicide and spoke about her life after his demise.
The 31-year-old confirmed that Kurt's unparalleled success and popularity became all-consuming, citing his fame as a trigger for him not wanting to be around anymore. However, she also disclosed:
"...he felt...everyone would be happier without him...in reality, if he had lived, I would have had a dad. And that would have been an incredible experience."
Since his death, Frances went on to work as an intern for a popular media outlet; she was an executive producer on the HBO documentary about her dad's life, and according to news outlets, she is also a model. At 22, she became a visual artist (and still is one).
Interestingly enough, as the daughter of a rock king who arguably had one of the best rock bands worldwide, Nirvana, Frances, surprisingly, isn't really a fan of Nirvana's music. Although she does enjoy two of their songs, "Territorial Pissings" and "Dumb."

Switching gears to her romantic life, Frances became a wife at 25 when she tied the knot with her now ex-husband, musician Isaiah Silva. The couple wed in 2014 but split when Frances filed for divorce in 2016.
Life for Frances may have been challenging during several moments, but she is blessed to have found her partner in life.

Their divorce settlement was finalized in 2018, after the judge declared Frances a legally single woman the year before in November. While dividing their assets, a prized item that caused most of the contention was Kurt's iconic guitar, worth millions, which he used to perform on "MTV Unplugged" in 1993.

Frances' ex claimed that she had gifted her late dad's guitar to him, but Frances denied this. Unfortunately, Frances lost Kurt's guitar when the judge denied her request to keep the heirloom in her family, so the guitar landed in Silva's possession.

Further details from their settlement included Frances' request to keep her inheritance from her father's estate and that all their premarital assets be awarded to her as separate property. Although the visual artist went through a tough time, she went on to find love again.

Frances Bean Cobain Is Now Remarried To Tony Hawk's Son
Frances found love again with the son of legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk. According to news outlets, she and Riley Hawk tied the knot earlier this month.
The newlyweds married in Los Angeles, with Frances' godfather, R.E.M. frontman Michael Stripe, officiating the ceremony. Before exchanging vows, Riley and his wife obtained their marriage license in September in San Diego County.

A representative of Tony confirmed the news, and the marriage certificate stipulates the marriage date as October 7. Pop culture outlets report that the two had started dating around January 2021. Still, Frances only hinted that she and Riley were romantically involved last year via a carousel of social media pictures, which showed the duo together, and her in-laws.

The exciting news also comes after Frances shared some details about what she had been going through in her life. Last year, on her 30th birthday, she posted an array of pictures on her social media account showing herself and memorable moments she shared with her friends and loved ones.
In her message, she also expressed the profound love and gratitude she has for everyone in her life, including her new hubby.
Life for Frances may have been challenging during several moments, but she is blessed to have found her partner in life.
