Visual artist Frances Bean Cobain evoked a quote about how life is like a wave crashing on the beach, while death is a wave returning to the ocean. She took comfort from the unattributed text, writing that loss is the ultimate teacher, "Hold the people you love a little more tightly and a little bit closer for me today."

The photo captured a bare-chested Kurt holding his daughter, only a few months old. His goofy expression is forever frozen in time as the baby gazes at him.

Frances spoke about the Nirvana frontman publically for the first time to Rolling Stone in 2015 at 22. She theorized that her father, whom she referred to as Kurt, sacrificed everything for his art as it was what the world "demanded it of him."

The former Rolling Stone intern sees this as one of the "main triggers" for why he did not want to carry on and believed that "everyone would be happier without him." She stated that the reality was that had he lived:

"I would have had a dad. And that would have been an incredible experience."

How Frances Bean Cobain Really Feels about Nivana's Music

Grinning, Frances revealed to a music magazine that she is not really into Nivana's music or the grunge scene as a whole. However, she has some favorites from the 90s band like "Territorial Pissings" off "Nevermind."

Frances' monotone-like speaking voice is eerily similar to Kurt's.

The daughter of Courtney Love cries every time she hears "Dumb," which she interprets as a "stripped-down version" of how Kurt perceived himself, which appears on the album "In Utero."

Frances does not want to "pigeonhole herself" when it comes to her art, experimenting with different mediums, including music. On what Kurt would have thought of her music, she told E! News that she did not wish "speak on someone else's behalf:"

"I would hope that he would be proud of the human being I am even if he didn't like the art I am putting out."

The remaining members of Nirvana, Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, and Pat Smear, get what Frances Bean Cobain terms "K. C. Jeebies," where they see her late father in her. Other than the light hair and slight build, Frances' monotone-like speaking voice is eerily similar to Kurt's.
