América Guinhart and Alejandro Fernández had known each other long before dating and eventually marrying. Following their divorce, Guinhart spoke about the heartache of their separation. Many years later, she found a new love.

América Guinhart was Alejandro Fernández's love since they were young. The pair attended high school together and soon began dating. They tied the knot in 1992 and had three children; however, their marriage was plagued with challenges.

They eventually separated in 1998, after which Fernández found new love and had more children with another woman. The former couple finalized their divorce in 2002 and co-parented their kids.

Soon after dissolving their marriage, Guinhart spoke about the emotional turmoil of separating from her husband. "When your partner leaves, your self-esteem falls to the ground because, in the first place, you feel that as a woman, the man you love no longer wants to be with you," she lamented.

In addition to this predicament, the man she loved had found another partner. Guinhart said this made her feel "less valuable as a woman." As she further reflected, Guinhart noted, from her experience, it was normal to feel this way.

She encouraged other women going through the same thing to sit with those emotions and allow them to pass. "You have to live it so that you later realize that it is not true, that you as a woman have value," she said, adding that another person would arrive and appreciate that value.

América Guinhart and Alejandro Fernández Remain Connected through Their Kids

Guinhart welcomed three children, Alex, Camila, and América Fernández, with her husband. Fernández gained a dual reputation as a family man, but the singer was also rumored to be unfaithful to Guinhart.

During their four-year separation before their eventual divorce, the media wrote extensively about their relationship, even speculating about a possible reconciliation. However, Fernández had already moved on with Ximena Díaz, who gave birth to two more of his kids.

Fernández still supported Guinhart and their children. The pair remain a part of each other's lives (as does Díaz in Fernández's life) through their offspring, often coming together to celebrate their milestones.

Díaz's children with Fernández have followed in their father's footsteps, debuting their musical career in 2023. Their late grandfather, Vicente Fernández, whose wife was Maria Del Refugio Abarca Villaseñor, was also a legendary ranchera singer.

Her new husband's name is Alvaro, as one video revealed. Alongside another slideshow of wedding pictures, she wrote, "I share these photographs with all my love to tell you that believe in love, believe in new opportunities, believe that life can be full despite its adversities."

As for her ex-husband, Fernández separated from Díaz in 2004 but maintained a cordial relationship with her and Guinhart. Currently, the musician is in a relationship with model and influencer Karla Laveaga. Díaz has said she gets along well with Laveaga.
