Saweetie Struggled with an Identity Crisis Due to Her Mixed Ethnicity
As a little girl, Saweetie struggled with her mixed ethnic background, as children often made her feel as though she wasn't Black enough or Asian enough and excluded her. The rapper shared:
"I always was confused as a little girl. I didn't really feel like I belonged in any group at school. The only place where I felt like I belonged was at home. [...] I definitely had a lot of identity crisis as a little girl, just struggling to figure out where I belong."
