What Is Known about Cara Whitney's Career
Cara grew up on a cattle ranch in the small town of Serona, Wisconsin. She developed a love for horses from a young age, influenced by watching shows like "Gun Smoke" with her mom. She added:
"I ended up getting a Shetland pony when I was five that I named Black Beauty, and she was vicious, but it didn't didn't turn me away from horses or ponies, and just I've always been in love with them."

Moving on from farm life, Cara worked in radio. Back then, she was a radio personality, creating commercials using a little record player and a tape. Her work was inspired by her parents' love for music.
Cara has ventured into writing. She is an author who has published four books, including her latest book, the 2022 "Country Soul: Inspiring Stories of Heartache Turned into Hope." In addition to her literary pursuits, she is also a rising YouTube personality.
Cara Has Been Married to Her Husband for over Ten Years
Cara's husband is Dan Whitney, famously known as comedian and actor Larry The Cable Guy. He starred in films such as "A Madea Christmas" with Tyler Perry and "Delta Farce" with DJ Qualls and Danny Trejo.
Their son's experience inspired Cara and her husband to start the Git-R-Done Foundation to help others.
Larry also appeared in "Witless Protection" with actress Jenna McCarthy. He was also the voice behind the character Mater in the animated flick "Cars" starring Owen Wilson and Paul Newman.
Recounting the early days of their romance, Cara said she met her future husband while she worked in radio. She recalled Dan doing call-ins on another radio station at the time.
Together, they bonded over their love for livestock stories, mainly because Larry raised pigs. The couple tied the knot in 2005 at the Nebraska field.
The couple looked casual on their wedding day; Cara wore only a camo tank top and shorts, while Larry wore a cut-off sweatshirt. They celebrated the occasion modestly, serving reheated lasagna and setting off fireworks.
The couple now lives in Nebraska, where they raise horses and cattle. Larry wholeheartedly supports Cara's writing career by posting about her published books on his Instagram page sharing excitement with his fans.
Cara often finds herself as the star of Larry's comedic tales. In one performance, Larry joked about his diet, including a cheat day for a hamburger, and playfully mentioned Cara's commitment to a strict routine.
In a different show, he humorously talked about their relationship, highlighting their intimate moments and Cara's decision to marry him despite his appearance.

Cara Whitney on Navigating Son's Hip Dysplasia and Giving Back
The couple shares two children—daughter Reagan and son Wyatt, who was born with hip dysplasia. Cara opened up about their challenges, noting that some medical institutions measured his son's hip differently.
She also shared about meeting Charles Price in Orlando, who was crucial in addressing hip dysplasia. Additionally, the couple discovered another hospital renowned for its expertise in hip dysplasia.
After receiving effective treatment at Arnold Palmer Hospital, Wyatt's condition improved. Their son's experience inspired Cara and her husband to start the Git-R-Done Foundation to help others.

Established in 2009, the foundation focuses on helping children and veterans through various charities. It has donated over $8 million since its inception. One of its initiatives is the Git-R-Done Golf Classic.
The golf tournaments have been held annually in Lincoln, Nebraska. Many of the couple's friends have attended the event, primarily to raise funds for the foundation and the causes it supports.
