Svani Quintanilla Is a Talented Musician from Corpus Christi
Svani is following in the footsteps of his father, acclaimed record producer and songwriter A.B. Quintanilla, and his late aunt, iconic singer Selena. A.B.'s son is making a name for himself in the industry.
Known by the stage name Principe Q, Svani is a DJ and record producer from Corpus Christi, Texas. A member of the Kumbia All Starz, his musical prowess is evident in various productions, with notable songs such as "SurNorte" and "Tequila."
Svani Broke Away from the Traditional Way of Learning Music
Svani studied audio engineering at The Art Institute of Austin but left before finishing the degree, preferring hands-on learning over traditional schooling. He felt it wasn't the right fit for him. He added:
"That's kind of why [the] school didn't work out for me either like I just have a problem with, I guess, like being told what to do."
Being part of a band in middle school became his introduction to making music. He wanted to continue what his father and late aunt started with cumbia, a style of Latin music.
Adding to his professional roles, Svani is a doting dad to his daughter, Yvie.
Before taking the stage name Principe Q, he initially gained popularity as DJ Moonpie, a name his father suggested. Along the way, he joined the local DJ collective Bombon, marking significant steps in his career.

Svani has performed his music in various places like Houston, Tennessee, and Dallas. While he's already making a living from his music, Svani aspires to elevate his craft on a bigger scale.
Svani is just one of the many Latino artists making a splash in the scene. Alongside him, other artists, such as Rosalia, Karol G, Maluma, and Becky G, are also forging their notable paths in the world of music.
