Bruce Willis's Wife Admits to Crying on Their 16th Anniversary as the Actor Battles Dementia

Bruce Willis' wife shared that she cried on their 16th anniversary amid the actor's battle with frontotemporal dementia. Emma Heming Willis admitted to going through a tough time and said that "anniversaries are hard."

In an Instagram story Emma Heming Willis posted on her account recently, Emma candidly addressed her emotions on their anniversary amid Bruce's battle with dementia, which his family announced earlier this year.

Video footage showed the 45-year-old model bare-faced, dressed in a cozy-looking blue sweater, and wearing glasses. She mentioned that she had just gotten off the phone with a really good friend of hers before making the Instagram story.

It was then that Emma disclosed, "...I was able to have a good cry..." As a spouse going through a difficult time having to watch her husband deal with a severe health issue (frontotemporal dementia), Emma says it's imperative for one to have someone they can trust, share their feelings with, lean on, and seek solace from during challenging experiences.

The doting mom and wife said that bottling up emotions instead of expressing them is not a good way to deal with problems, which she mentioned as something she sometimes tends to do. Emma went on to divulge, "Holidays are hard. Anniversaries are hard."

However, Emma expressed that this year has been about building and forging a community and connecting with people, which she said has been a lifeline for her.
