'This Hits So Hard': Toby Keith's Photo with Wife & Their Only Son Leaves Fans Heartbroken
After his father's death, Toby Keith's son has remained relatively quiet. Despite not sharing any new photos, fans have commented on his last picture of their family. They noted how the musician looked happy to be there with them.
Stelen Keith Covel's last post on social media was that of his father, Toby Keith, in the cherished company of his wife and other family members. This image has become a canvas of mourning, with fans leaving heart-wrenching comments that speak volumes of Keith's impact on their lives.
One fan expressed, "My heart absolutely shatters for you and your family," while another shared, "He was absolutely glowing being there with his family." One comment read, "This hits so hard... so many tears are falling," encapsulating the collective sorrow. "My heart is broken into a million pieces," stated another.
Toby Keith, renowned for his music career, was equally a family man, a role he cherished profoundly. He once shared, "Everybody in the family is good. I was raised by good parents, and I have great kids. They don't have any issues at all — none." He proudly stated that his children were unswayed by the allure of fame, a virtue he and his wife of nearly 40 years, Tricia Lucus, instilled in them.
His son, Stelen Covel, a real estate professional, reflects the family's entrepreneurial spirit with a successful business portfolio that includes 405 Burger Bar, Sellout Crowd, Hollywood Corners, and Tequila Chulos.
Like his sister Krystal, a musician and recording artist, he amplifies their father's talents and ethos. Krystal, who also manages SwingDish, is married to Drew, and together, they parent daughters, Kirby and Hensley.
Toby Keith's enduring marriage to Lucus was foundational to the family of five, with daughters Shelley Covel Rowland and Krystal and son Stelen. Shelley, born in 1980, was adopted by Keith, demonstrating the depth of his commitment from the onset of his marriage.

In December 2022, Keith made his first public appearance since announcing his diagnosis. The country star was positive that he would be back on stage soon.
However, he admitted that his body was strained. "It is pretty debilitating to have to go through all that, but as long as everything stays hunky-dory, then we will look at something good in the future," he said. The "Red Solo Cup" singer shared a picture promoting children's health on his Instagram, which concerned fans due to his appearance.
The singer had evidently lost weight, and many were worried about his cancer battle. Some found the weight loss concerning, while others thought Keith looked good. One person said, "You have lost so much weight. Prayers for you dear Toby."
Another expressed, "Please tell me Toby is ok? This picture is most disturbing." Someone else stated, "So thin. I hope you are getting better." Another social media user commented, "Wow he's lost a lot of weight. But still looks great. Keep fighting my friend." Most commenters saw the drastic change in Keith's appearance as worrying and reckoned that the stomach cancer was taking a toll on his body.
Some could not even bear the singer's sight and wanted reassurance that he was fine. Nonetheless, his supporters kept him in their prayers and encouraged him to fight. "Omg, I just saw this. He looks nothing like he once did. Ripping my heart out. I pray he pulls through this," wrote a worried user.
To see Keith still smiling and doing his charitable work gave many fans hope that he would defeat cancer, even though it was so scary to see him in his new body that fans thought it was "disturbing."
