Dwyane Wade’s Trans Daughter Displays Sculpted Legs in Mini Skirt & Shimmering Top Ahead of Her 17th Birthday

Dwyane Wade's trans daughter showed off her sculpted legs in a mini-skirt that formed part of her birthday ensemble. The young fashionista enjoyed fabulous birthday festivities this past weekend ahead of turning 17 and was showered with love. Many people flooded the comment section of her social media post wishing the teen well.

This past weekend, Zaya Wade showed up and showed out at her birthday party ahead of the actual day she turns 17 (May 29). The soon-to-be 17-year-old celebrated the occasion in style with loved ones and took to Instagram to give her followers a glimpse of all the fun that was had.

A particularly eye-catching photo among the array she shared in a carousel, was of Zaya posing for a picture in her birthday outfit.

She opted for a stylish shimmery top that had specks of green, chic sunglasses, black platform shoes, a black purse, and a denim mini skirt which left her toned legs on display. Zaya also rocked blonde braids to complete her look.

Other images included a view of the cool, multi-colored dance floor which was situated outside. In this photo, a DJ playing tunes at a DJ booth could also be seen. Another photo showed the tasteful party favors which were Glossier bags packed with beauty product goodies.

The fourth picture in the carousel showed Zaya posing with some of her friends who were holding party props. There was also a snap of the creative drinks menu (all non-alcoholic options of course) which included a drink named after the birthday girl: "Sweet Zaya."

Another photograph showed a close-up of Zaya's hands which showed off her beautiful multi-colored nails and henna tattoo art. Other pictures included a table full of custom-made caps that were embroidered with the words "translatable" and another table filled with funky bright-colored glasses and bracelets.

"the birthday party vibes were 10/10 💘," captioned Zaya alongside her post. Many who saw Zaya's birthday post wasted no time in wishing her well. "Happy birthday superstar," penned TV host and radio personality Rocsi Diaz.

Sports journalist Jemele Hill exclaimed, "Happy birthday! And come through with the blonde!!!!!" "Happy birthday angel​​💕💕💕💕💕" wrote a makeup artist. Wearing his protective big brother hat, professional basketball player Zaire Wade jokingly commented, "That just better be juice…."

Although Zaya's famous father, Dwyane Wade, has not yet shared his own birthday message, it's expected that he will do so on her actual birthday as he did last year. In his birthday dedication for when Zaya turned 16, the loving patriarch shared an array of pictures.

His endearing tribute showed sweet father-daughter snaps and stunning photos of Zaya. The last media displayed an adorable video of Zaya and Zaire when they were younger. In it, the duo were performing their special handshake.

When it comes to receiving love and support in abundance, Zaya's family, which includes her famous stepmother Gabrielle Union, does not hold back. Zaya's dad has always shown up for her whenever she needs him, especially when she came out as trans.

One of the many ways he has supported Zaya Wade involves the project that the father and daughter founded together called Translatable. Their project does important work in creating safe spaces for LGBTQIA+ youth to freely express themselves and find solace in the community.

"Welcome to Translatable. We're so glad you are here. Translatable [...] is a resource hub for their parents, families, and support systems. As we grow, check back for new content, resource guides and interactive features," reads a message on the project's website.

Zaya and Dwayne also set up an Instagram account for the initiative which so far has over 9,000 followers and three posts.

In addition to Translatable, Dwyane has previously shared insights and reflections about his daughter—who also uses fashion as a medium of self-expression—and how it's shaped him and their family.

Previously speaking with "Today's" Craig Melvin, Dwyane divulged that his daughter's journey has been a profound learning experience for him, opening his eyes to the broader spectrum of the LGBTQIA+ community and emphasizing the importance of being a strong support system.

He spoke about the growth he's undergone through this experience and the pride he takes in Zaya's resilience and leadership within their family. Zaya's story, according to Dwyane, is one of courage and strength, casting her not just as his daughter but as the family's hero.

This seamless blend of personal growth and self-expression finds its sartorial voice in Zaya's fashion sense. Fashion has become her language of choice, an evolving dialogue started by her parents' style that has since matured into her own distinct narrative, as unique and bold as her path through life.
