Katie Holmes dons a slinky purple gown flaunting her eye-catching decollete

Katie Holmes is an American actress who is most famously known as Joey Potter from Dawson's Creek. Two decades later, she still turns heads at public events.

The 39-year-old Holmes made an appearance at the Brooks Brother Bicentennial Celebration in New York on April 25, 2018. She attended the event with friend and designer, Zac Posen.

When she arrived, Holmes was dressed in a flowing plum-colored gown with matching half-jacket. However, she removed the jacket to give photographers a glimpse of her dress.

As reported by Entertainment Tonight Online, the satin-smooth dress' low neckline and bodice with intricate embroidery immediately drew attention.

Holmes paired a delicate gold bracelet with the dress and completed the look with a pair of nude stilettos. Her hair was sleeked back, and her makeup was minimal yet striking.

Always the fashionista, Holmes was also spotted at the Tribeca Film Festival the following day, where she attended the screening of the documentary, The Litas.

She wore an elegant black skirt and matching top which featured a grey floral print. Holmes complimented the outfit with silver jewelry and black high heels.

The award-winning actress has been keeping a busy schedule lately, and shared photos of her outings with her 1.3 million Instagram followers.

In one photo, she can be seen posing with Beyonce, whom she met over the weekend. She informed her fans that it was an honor to meet the singer, whom she referred to as 'the greatest artist.'

'I feel so blessed to have met these most kind and gracious women. I am a super fan and still smiling from watching Beyonce's amazing performance.'

Holmes has one daughter, Suri, with her former husband. She filed for divorce from Tom Cruise in 2012, after six years of marriage.

According to New York Post, Holmes split from Cruise out of fear of The Church of Scientology and possible intimidation by its members.

She also had reason to believe that Cruise would try to abduct Suri, who was only six years old at that time. Holmes has had custody of Suri since the divorce was finalized.
