Tracee Ellis Ross, daughter of actress and Motown recording artist Diana Ross and her ex-husband Robert Ellis Silberstein, began her career acting in independent films and variety series.
She had hosted the pop-culture magazine ‘The Dish' on Lifetime.
Most notably from 2000 to 2008, she played the role of Joan Clayton in the comedy series ‘Girlfriends'.
Her role had earned her two NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series.
She also appeared in the hit movie ‘Daddy's Little Girls'.
Afterwards playing the role of ‘Dr. Carla Reed' on the BET sitcom ‘Reed Between the Lines', for which she had gotten her third NAACP Image Award.
Since 2014, Tracee Ross has played the role of ‘Dr. Rainbow Johnson' in the ABC comedy series ‘Black-ish’.
Tracee has been making waves and riding them all her life and she’s not done yet.
Tracee recently posted a selfie photo of herself on her Instagram page.
The selfie featured her in bed with no makeup on her face with a relaxed look in her face and we are again reminded of how much she looks like her mother.
She had captioned the post, @traceeellisross:
‘VACAY ~ good morning'
The post had her fans and followers commenting on how beautiful she looked even without the makeup and we couldn’t agree less.
