Although there were 600 guests who were invited to witness the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, the only member of Markle’s family who had the privilege of attending was her mother.

According to Daily Mail, that did not stop Markle’s 67-year-old aunt Teresa and 38-year-old Nick from celebrating the royal occasion.

After viewing the live broadcast of the wedding on television, the duo headed to a Burger King outlet in their neighborhood in Sanford, Florida to have a hearty meal.

Teresa and Nick enjoyed breakfast together before walking out with a cup of coffee in their hands and the signature Burger King crown on their heads.

Nick seemed to be pleased with the symbolism of the crown, as he wore the cardboard accessory even as he went shopping for his mother. He was seen wearing a printed t-shirt worth $15.95.

Speaking to Daily Mail, Nick confirmed that he and his mother watched the televised wedding, but did not wish to comment any further.

The spread at St. George’s Hall included Scottish langoustines coated with citrus crème fraiche over a layer of smoked salmon and the delicacy of garden pannacotta with lemon verbena and quail eggs on the side.

Thomas Markle, the father of the bride was another prominent person who did not make it to the royal wedding.

According to TMZ, he expressed his regret over not being able to walk his daughter down the aisle on the biggest day of her life.

Markle’s mother Doria Ragland was seen with tears in her eyes as her daughter made a grand entry into the chapel.
