Kelly Clarkson shows off adorable gift Carrie Underwood sent her

In a social media post, Kelly Clarkson opened the resourceful cake-shaped gift that her singer friend Carrie Underwood sent for her.

Thanks to their similar beginnings, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood remain great friends.

Both the singers rose to fame by winning the reality music contest American Idol, and have gone on to become successful artists in the music scene.

A recent social media post shared by Clarkson displayed yet another mark of their friendship, in which Clarkson showed off a special gift she received from Underwood.

In the video, Clarkson is seen opening a gift box resembling the packaging of a cake. Instead of the delicacy, what lies under the lid is a set of vanity drawers stacked up like a multi-tier cake.

The gift was sent by Underwood on the occasion of the third anniversary of her line of fitness apparel CALIA by Carrie.

Clarkson explained that it took a few days for the gift to reach her since it was kept at the office of the artist management company Starstruck.

On opening the box, Clarkson could not compliment the gift enough. She commended the creative packaging and the unique idea of designing a gift that resembled a celebratory cake.

Clarkson also quipped that she had lost weight since the gift was sent out by Underwood, adding that the gift clothes that Underwood sent for her had become too loose for her new slimmer body.

However, Clarkson assured her friend that the oversized clothes would reach the hands of someone who could use and appreciate them.

Although Clarkson did not show any of the clothes that she received as gifts from Underwood, she did flaunt the fanny pack and the pair of socks that she received, stating that she would keep them for herself.
