Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos' mini-me son landed the role he was literally born to play
The 21-year-old has always stood out for his incredible resemblance to his father, so it is not surprising that his next acting job will be playing a younger version of a character played by Mark.
After The CW announced that Michael Consuelos had been signed to play a younger version of the character Hiram Lodge, played by his father Mark since 2017 in “Riverdale,” both of his parents couldn’t hide how proud they are.
48-year-old actress Kelly Ripa and her husband of more than 20 years, Mark Consuelos, 47, took to their respective social media to celebrate their oldest child’s upcoming appearance in the teen drama television series.
As Do You Remember reported, Michael has previously worked as a voice actor for the children’s television series “Go, Diego Go!” from 2006 to 2007, among other things.
But the role of Hiram Lodge could be career-defining for the young actor, and his parents’s are so excited to see him follow their footsteps. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa

“Bucket list moment for Mom and Dad. Congrats to my son Michael on being cast as the younger (and much better and handsomer) Hiram. We are so proud. Love you MJC,” Mark wrote.
Michael is Mark and Ripa’s first-born. The actress gave birth to him in 1996, the year she got married to Mark. Sister Lola Grace followed in 2001 and last came Joaquin Antonio in 2003.
Michael has always been around cameras all his life because of his parents’s work, and he is seriously interested in the film industry, majoring in Film at the New York University, where he started studying in 2016, according to Hollywood Life.
His interests in the area are not limited to performing. He has already interned in development and production as well and was involved in production work for ABC’s “The Goldbergs” in 2018.
While Michael keeps his Instagram account private, both of his parents have a weakness for sharing things about their dear son in their social media.
When Michael turned 21 on June 2, his mother created a video compiling photos from the young man’s life, and she expressed how his arrival changed everything for her in the best of ways.
Mark also took to his social media for the occasion, posting a snapshot of his son in the middle of a beautiful landscape. We can tell how special this actor in the making is for his proud parents.
