Brandy shares photo with brother Ray J and sweet message on his 38th birthday

Protective sister Brandy describes her brother Ray J as a "beautiful light" in a heartfelt message she wrote for him on his birthday.

No love was ever lost between Brandy and her brother Ray J despite the drama that ensued between her and his wife in the past. In fact, Brandy had so much love for her brother when she greeted him on his birthday with a heartfelt dedication.

AN ODE TO A "BEAUTIFUL LIGHT"

Brandy hugged Ray J from behind in a photo she shared to mark his turning 38. She smiled to the camera as her younger brother appeared to be transfixed to it too. While the photo was a testament to their closeness, Brandy’s message revealed how grateful she was to be Ray J’s sister.

NO LONGER AT ODDS WITH RAY J'S WIFE

It seems all is well too with Brandy and Ray J’s wife, Princess Love who she tagged in her message. It wasn’t too long ago when the two were at odds over tweets Princess launched against her husband. Brandy took offense and reportedly skipped the couple’s baby shower because of it.

PROTECTIVE SISTER

Brandy has always been very protective of her younger brother. She would often defend him from negative talk. Back in November, she retaliated at a commenter who told the “Love and Hip Hop” star, “nobody takes you serious when it comes to music.” Brandy responded by saying,

"You will take him seriously. I promise you that.”

Brandy was likewise first in Ray J’s line of defense after his ex, Kim Kardashian accused him of being a pathological liar. Kim took offense when a news article suggested Ray J divulged intimate details about them when they were still together. Ray J denied this as Brandy supported him and clapped back at critics who said they didn’t care much about Ray J’s opinion.
