Congratulatory messages have been coming in from “Real Housewives” stars across the country since Andy Cohen announced the birth of his son on Monday.
The “Real Housewives” executive producer/TV host took to Instagram on Monday with a black-and-white portrait image of himself holding his infant son.
“WOW! This is my son, Benjamin Allen Cohen,” an elated Andy announced in the caption. “He is 9lbs 2 ounces!! 20 inches!! Born at 6:35 pm, PT. He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow.”
“Family means everything to me and having one of my own is something that I have wanted in my heart for my entire life.” ~ Andy Cohen
Not long after Andy’s post went up, cast members from the “Real Housewives” franchise flooded social media with warm wishes for the new dad.
“Real Housewives of Atlanta” longtimer, Nene Leakes, got emotional on Instagram, reposting the picture of Andy and his son and admitting that she was “shaking:”
“I’m shaking! The tears and joy I feel for you right now! I just can’t believe this... ANDY U ARE A DAD @bravoandy congratulations.”
Fellow “RHOA” star, Kandi Burruss, although currently in the Big Brother house, also put up a congratulatory message on her page. “Aww: major congrats to @bravoandy on the birth of his son Benjamin Allen Cohen! #blessed, she wrote.
Baby Benjamin also got some love from “Real Housewives Of Orange County” alum, Lizzie Rovsek, who tweeted that the newborn is her dad’s namesake.
“Congrats @Andy. SO happy for you!!! (My dad’s name is Ben Allen too. Love it!)”
From New Jersey, “Real Housewives” cast member Melissa Gorga reposted Andy’s first photo with Benjamin and captioned it:
"This is such a BEAUTIFUL THING. Tears of joy. [Andy] I'm so happy for you and this little angel. CONGRATULATIONS!!!"
Bethenny Frankel, “Real Housewives Of New York City” star, also sent her love to the new dad and his bundle of joy. "Congratulations [Andy] on the greatest love of your life Benjamin Allen Cohen!!” Bethenny tweeted. “Baby you’ve got #BAC."
Andy, 50, first announced that he was expecting a baby via surrogate last December on an episode of “Watch What Happens Live.”
“Family means everything to me and having one of my own is something that I have wanted in my heart for my entire life,” Andy said. “And though it’s taken me longer than most to get there, I cannot wait for what I envision will be the most rewarding chapter yet.”
The TV personality parted ways with his boyfriend last year and has since not been romantically linked to anyone.
On January 26, friends and loved ones surrounded Andy at a lavish baby shower in Beverly Hills, California. Days later, more celebrity friends like Kelly Ripa and Sarah Jessica Parker threw him another shower on the East Coast.
An insider previously told PEOPLE that Andy said he couldn’t wait to meet his son, and now that baby Benjamin is here, he couldn’t be happier.
Congratulations again, Andy Cohen.
