Diddy reveals he's 'decided to be happy' in new video 2 months after ex Kim Porter's death
Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, took to Instagram to set clear that he decided to be happy again three months after Kim Porter, the mother of his children, passed away.
In a short clip, the man appeared smiling at the camera and saying, “I’m back.” For the caption, the rapper was more explicit as he thanked his family, friends, and fans for all the prayers.
Diddy added that people sometimes go through dark periods in life that are hard to get out and that no matter how many times they try to get up, they “keep on falling down and staying in darkness.”
Finally, he said that happiness was a choice and that he “decided to be happy.” As soon as the rapper uploaded that video, his followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts.
"I smile when I see you smile. Keep pushing forward. Time heals broken hearts and prayer makes you stronger," said one commenter.
“Glad your back [everybody] goes through dark times,” pointed out a second follower.
“I’m glad to see you bouncing back diddy!! You’ve been through a lot recently,” shared another person.
KIM’S CAUSE OF DEATH
Unfortunately, on the morning of November 15, Kim was found unresponsive in her home in San Fernando Valley. She reportedly died of “natural causes” after tending to flu-like symptoms.
Her autopsy didn’t reveal the cause of her death soon after her passing. Thankfully, it was officially confirmed that it was pneumonia that took her life. Before her death, Kim was suffering from nasal congestion and would cough out phlegm with blood.
She was also experiencing excessive sweating, body aches, and a sore throat. A visit to the doctor resulted in the prescription of Toradol, an anti-inflammatory drug along with saline fluids and vitamins.
DIDDY’S TRIBUTES
Kim’s death was a shock to her loved ones especially Diddy whom she had a relationship with for 13 years. The rapper was devastated when he heard the news and shared a series of tributes to the woman he referred to as his “soulmate.”
Some of the many tributes that Diddy uploaded were on what would have been Kim’s 47th birthday. First, the man shared a clip wherein he described the love he felt for the mother of his children with the caption, “Happy birthday Kim. We love you and we miss you.”
Then, the rapper posted a photo of the lady holding her twin daughters in her arms. “Words can’t explain. Happy birthday [Kim Porter]. This picture says everything,” wrote Diddy in the caption.
The lady is survived by her four children, Quincy, Christian Casey, and the twins Jessie James and D’Lila Star. She shared the last three with the rapper.
