Cohen started the show by saying that although there was a lot to do, he would begin by showing a clip of himself with his son after his birth. This statement got the audience cheering.

The video showed Cohen leaning close to Benjamin’s face while smiling at him. Cohen said while showing the video:

“He is two weeks old now, and I can only speak for myself when I say I am falling in love with him every day."

Cohen acknowledged that fatherhood is excellent, and he has gotten used to the responsibilities that come with it, adding:

“He seems very happy. He’s guzzling milk, burping, and making poops. My diaper changing skills ain’t bad, but the swaddling has got me a bit perplexed.”

Cohen then thanked his fans saying he appreciates all their good wishes.

“Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” he said.

While being interviewed by Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb, the host also thanked "The Housewives" and Hoda who became a mum at 52 through adoption for their great advice which he said helped him tremendously.

Cohen also added that he was speechless, as the love he feels for Benjamin is so great, adding that he was comforted knowing that his little boy was there waiting for him whenever he stepped out.

His gratitude also extended to the surrogate who carried his child. He explained that he had to go outside New York, his state of residence, to California to get someone to carry his baby as surrogacy is illegal in New York.

The 50-year-old used an agency which supplies egg donors and surrogates. In his post on Instagram after the baby was born, Andy thanked his surrogate for giving him the best gift, which is “the gift of life,” adding that "he will be forever grateful to her."
