Kerry Washington Debuted Chic Bob and Flaunted Curves in Sheer Dress at Vanity Fair Oscars Party

Kerry Washington stunned in a brand new pixie do and sheer champagne dress as she stepped out for a post-Oscars party.

Kerry Washington made sure she made an impression, much like her character Olivia Pope would in a public gathering. Attending Vanity Fair’s Oscar’s party on Sunday, the 42-year-old “Scandal” star shimmered in gold as she debuted a new do and stepped out in style.

Kerry was a sight to behold in a semi-sheer tiered dress when she showed up dateless on the event’s red carpet. The bustier number in a champagne hue complemented her olive skin and highlighted her bare shoulders that stood out even more with her new hairstyle. The actress debuted an edgy pixie cut fashioned with disheveled bangs in front.

Kerry’s dress that fell just above her ankles had a thin white ribbon tied around the waist. It emphasized her amazing body after giving birth to her second child a little more than two years ago. Finishing off her look, the “Django Unchained” star wore a pair of silver pumps that matched the bling she wore on her fingers as well as those dangling from her ears.

Kerry appeared to be in good spirits in photos featured by news outlets. She must have felt as fabulous as she looked while mingling with other famous celebrities. She also shared moments from her night on her social media accounts.

The private star’s rare appearance comes in the heels of an aspect of her personal life that recently went public. A photo of her family dressed in Nigerian costumes emerged online. Kerry and her athlete-turned-actor husband Nnamdi Asomugha were joined by their children and extended family in a gathering and they were dressed in traditional Igbo outfits.

The actress has been very vocal about not wanting to diverge details about her personal life to the press. She was quoted as saying,

“If I don’t talk about my personal life, it means I don’t talk about my personal life. That means not only did I not tell you when I was getting married, it also means if somebody has rumors about what’s going on in my marriage, I don’t refute them, because I don’t talk about my personal life.”

From the little that we know about Kerry’s family, she has two children with Nnamdi who also has a 12-year-old daughter from a previous relationship. The couple has been married since 2013. The last time they were seen in public was at the special screening of the film, “If Beale Street Could Talk,” the same film that recently earned Regina King her first Oscar Award as Best Supporting Actress.
