Swizz Beatz Is 'Damn Proud' of Oldest Son Prince as He Graduates from High School

The oldest son of producer Swizz Beatz, Prince Nasir Dean, graduated high school surrounded by his family.

Music producer Swizz Beatz posted a series of photos on Instagram to celebrate his oldest son's graduation from high school.

Prince Nasir Dean was surrounded by his blended family on the momentous occasion, including his mother, Nicole Levy, and his stepmother, Alicia Keys.

“I was so d*mn proud of my son I had to kiss his face. He could of (sic) took many wrong turns but he chose the right direction and landed on his feet. I respect that.” Swizz Beatz

The photos taken at the graduation show the teen towering over his father and mother, wearing a dashing white suit and a wide smile.

Prince, who graduated from Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and has recently signed with Epic Records.

FOLLOWING A MUSICAL CAREER

Prince seems intent on following music as a career and is already taken his first steps under the artistic name Marcato. He will be continuing his education at New York University in September.

“I first realized that I was interested in potentially pursuing a career in music when my dad gifted me my first beat machine for my 10th birthday, I didn’t know what to do with it at first though. My first step in the process of composing music is constructing the melody, percussions then finally the 808’s.” he said.

The mothers of Swizz Beatz's children - Keys, Nicole Levy, and Mashonda Tifrere – have a close relationship.

Prince's father, Swizz Beatz, is considered one of the most influential producers in the business, and his stepmom is a singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist and is known as the "Queen of R&B"

FOCUS AND DEDICATION EMPOWER PRINCE NASIR

Prince revealed that he has a specific process for composing his music, and it's all about focus.

“A good amount of the process is mental preparation—thinking positively. Over time, I have unlocked many new abilities by introducing myself to new techniques through focus. It usually comes naturally when I’m working on my craft alone in the solitude of my quiet time,” he said.

If Prince's maturity and dedication are indications of his potential, the Dean family will soon contain a new musical icon.

SWIZZ BEATZ'S BLENDED FAMILY

Music producer Swizz Beatz has 5 children and is currently married to R&B icon Alicia Keys.

The couple share sons Egypt, 8, and Genesis, 4, and the family includes 12-year-old Kasseem Jr, 18-year-old son Prince, and 11-year-old daughter Nicole.

“There are plenty of people who have new families and are then able to bring their entire families together. Whatever’s natural, you know? It’s just a natural vibe. You can get to know each other and actually create sisterhood, create understanding. I just don’t think we get to see it a lot, or at least it’s not featured, even in the media." Keys said.

The Dean family seems to be raising a crop of extraordinary young people, and extremely talented tp judge by Prince Nasir and Egypt, who plays piano with his mother.
