Page Six: Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Kids & His Love Child Joseph Baena Have a Complicated Relationship

As the lovechild of Hollywood Superstar Arnold Schwarzenegger, Joseph Baena has never truly been close to the rest of the family.

According to a Page Six report, Joseph Baena and the rest of the Schwarzenegger children -- Katherine, 29, Christina, 27, Patrick, 25, and Christopher, 21, do not share a close relationship.

Reports emerged after Baena, Schwarzenegger’s child with his former family maid, Mildred Baena, was missing from half-sister Katherine’s June 8 wedding with actor Chris Pratt.

The rest of the Schwarzenegger children, all born to Arnold and Maria Shriver, were present at the big wedding that took place in Montecito, California.

A source for Page Six explained that Baena grew up amidst the Schwarzenegger children and they know him well enough to invite him to the wedding.

“He grew up around them,” the news outlet reported. “He was a regular at the mansion in Pacific Palisades, where the family lived from 1986 until 2003.”

Meanwhile, another source close to the family opined that it is only natural for them to want to create distance from Baena.

The source close to Katherine explained that Baena was Arnold’s child from an affair that he kept hidden for over 15 years. Therefore, the family may not want to “embrace the living reminder of that.”

On the other hand, Baena seems to be seeking closeness with his half-siblings as evident from the family’s Instagram behavior.

Recently, when Katherine posted a photograph from her wedding day, Baena took to the comments section to congratulate her.

However, Baena’s eagerness to connect with his siblings is not shown by any of the Schwarzenegger children.

Previously, Katherine posted a childhood photograph of herself and the rest of her siblings. Fans were quick to notice that Baena was missing from the throwback snapshot.

Meanwhile, Baena does seem to have a great connection with his father, Arnold, whom he is trying to emulate with his career in professional bodybuilding.

Arnold has also shown his affection and support for his son through his Instagram account, where he frequently shares photographs of Baena.

Baena was not revealed as Arnold’s own son until 2011, and Mildred claimed him to be her son with her then-husband, Rogelio Baena.

However, Maria grew suspicious after Baena started to grow up looking so much like Arnold. She then confronted Mildred and found out the truth.
