Tia Mowry's Daughter Is 'on the Move' as She Takes Steps in Cute Floral Romper
Tia Mowry’s daughter, Cairo, took her first steps a few days ago and the little girl seems to be enjoying it as she stays “on the move” in recent photos shared by her mom.
We all know what it’s like to do something for the first time and realize that we’re good at it, right? Well, one-year-old Cairo is getting that same feeling after crushing her latest milestone.
In photos posted to Instagram by the “Sister Sister” alum, Cairo rocks a colorful floral romper and has her tiny pigtails in the cutest neon hair accessories while sporting brown sandals.
Still To Come: She and her husband let Cree sleep in their bed until he was four because...
Cairo must have known she was the star attraction for the photos because, in one shot, she smiled directly at the camera and in other snapshots, she seemed to be showing off her latest walking skills.
“On the move,” Tia captioned the photos.
The world got to see little Cairo take her first steps about four days ago in a cute video shared by Tia. Dressed in a light pink checked romper and matching headband, the tot pranced around their home in white shoes and socks.
As an excited Tia recorded the pivotal moment, she urged:
“Hi, Boo Boo! You look so pretty. Look who’s walking! Hi Munchkin! Where are you going, buddy?”
Cairo took her first steps about a month after her bohemian-themed first birthday party. Tia and her husband, actor Cory Hardrict, threw Cairo’s bash in their backyard and it turned out to be a fun outing with lots of flowers, mermaids, family, friends, and of course, food.
Tia and Cory, who have been married for 11 years, welcomed their daughter on May 5, 2018, after the “Family Reunion” star’s struggle with endometriosis, an inflammatory condition that often leads to infertility. The couple also shares an eight-year-old son, Cree Taylor.
As the mom to a son and a daughter, Tia shared an interesting observation earlier this year. “Women are smarter,” she told Us Weekly. “I would say that [Cairo’s] picked up her milestones a lot quicker, or sooner, than Cree.”
The actress, who tends to be less traditional in her parenting, also recently revealed that she and her husband let Cree sleep in their bed until he was four because she didn’t want him to “have any sign of stress” from sleeping alone.
Still sharing more about her parenting, Tia let slip earlier this month that she does not spank her children even though her twin sister, Tamera Mowry-Housley, does her own kids (six-year-old son Aden and four-year-old daughter Ariah).
“If you’re spanking your kid, in my opinion, it’s because of you… You’re impatient; you just want to get this done and over with,” Tia explained. “If you don’t spank them, then it takes more time, you have to talk to them, you have to explain. But I feel like there is, in my opinion, a better outcome.”
