Kanye West's Wife Kim Kardashian Criticized for Letting Daughter North, 6, Wear Big Hoop Earrings

Kim Kardashian has come under fire for her parenting choices again. This time, social media users are calling her out for letting six-year-old daughter North West wear hoop earrings.

Kim, 38, recently posted an adorable mother-daughter pic on Instagram but ended up getting more than she bargained for.

In the now-controversial photo, Kim and her first child pinky-swear while wearing matching swimsuits. The "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star and North shared the most heartwarming looks as they stared into each other’s eyes.

What has several netizens lashing out, however, is North’s only visible accessory: a large hoop earring that reached all the way to her shoulder.

"Them hoops....wayyyy too much for a kid that little. Smh" scolded one fan

"Wow!!! Sad!!! That little girl will never be a little girl," chimed in another.

A third person insisted: "Say what y’all want, but she is way [too] young to have on those big earrings!" while a fourth suggested Kim was taking a leaf from her mom Kris Jenner’s parenting playbook:

"Kim doing the same thing Kris done (sic) to them... Being a Bestie, hell try been a mom. Those big [expletive] hoops on that child. Don't let North miss out on growth getting grown. Allow the child to be a child."

NORTH'S LOVE FOR FASHION

Many of Kim’s fans were in the comment section to defend her as well, but this is not the star’s first rodeo with online mommy-shamers.

On more than one occasion, Kim has let the world in on North’s flair for fashion and style, but that hasn’t stopped people from coming for her every time the six-year-old expresses herself.

LIPSTICK CONTROVERSY

Last Christmas, North appeared to be wearing red lipstick in the family photos, and fans felt it was inappropriate for a then-five-year-old to be wearing makeup.

The story wasn’t much different in March after Kim shared a video of North wearing dark lipstick and a black slip dress at her father Kanye West’s church service. The backlash was even more intense because, in the clip, North appeared to be dancing provocatively.

NOSE-RING CONTROVERSY

More recently, Kim drew massive criticism after North was spotted wearing a nose-ring at her great-grandmother’s birthday. The "KKW Beauty" mogul had to clarify on Instagram that the accessory is fake.

Kim is yet to address the latest "hoop earrings" controversy, but it looks like the mom-of-four is used to negative attention.

Kim and Kanye also share three-year-old son Saint, one-year-old daughter Chicago, and baby boy Psalm, three months.
