LHH Star Brittney Taylor Reportedly Claims It's Papoose Who Assaulted Her, Not Remy Ma
After accusing rapper Remy Ma of assaulting her, "Love & Hip Hop New York" star Brittney Taylor now reportedly claims it’s Remy’s husband, Papoose that committed the act.
Five months after saying Remy gave her a black eye, Taylor seems to be singing a different tune, according to recent reports.
Per The Shade Room, a leaked Instagram Story message from Brittney to her “close friends” list shows her accusing the "Get At Me" rapper of assault.
The message, in which Brittney claimed she has video evidence of her claims, reportedly read:
“Papoose is a [expletive] for touching me and he’s a [expletive] for making his wife take the rap for it. [Expletive] really knocked me out bro! [Expletive] making me sick to my soul.”
INITIAL ALLEGATIONS
If the leaked message is truly from Brittney, then it would go against everything she previously claimed. In April, the aspiring rapper took to Instagram with a video of her black eye.
Still To Come: "It's really hard for her at this time, you know, with her career and everything"
"I tried my best to cover it up with makeup and move on, but that still didn’t work," she wrote. "My question is @remyma why did you really do this?"
Brittney accused Remy, her "L&HH" co-star of punching her in the face backstage during a New York concert.
Brittney went on to file a lawsuit, and Remy turned herself in, appearing in criminal court four months ago for a misdemeanor assault charge where she was released on a $1,500 bond.
BRITTNEY'S MOTHER SPEAKS OUT
At the time, Brittney’s mother Karen Taylor even spoke to a local TV station about how the alleged altercation affected her daughter:
"My daughter is very emotional about everything that's going on, and she's just taken [a]back about what's happened to her, and she just wants things to be resolved. It's really hard for her at this time, you know, with her career and everything, it’s really hard for her. But we're going to push forward. "
REMY'S PROBATION
The "All the Way Up" rapper has denied the allegations and even claimed she has visual evidence.
There were speculations that the lawsuit would adversely impact Remy, who was on probation for a 2007 shooting conviction, but it only caused parole officers to make her wear an ankle monitor.
Last month, Remy and Papoose celebrated the end of her parole period aboard a yacht. Now, it remains to be seen what Brittney’s updated accusations will mean for her existing assault and harassment charges against Remy.
