NeNe Leakes Shares Photo with Husband Gregg after Asking How He Feels about Open Marriages

Less than a week after fans watched her addressing the possibility of an open marriage, Nene Leakes cuddled up to her husband Gregg in an Instagram snap.

It’s been quite a tough year for the Leakes, from Gregg’s cancer battle to marriage challenges, but it seems the couple is trying to make the most of it.

The "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star took to Instagram recently with a picture of herself and Gregg looking extra cute. Nene wore a gold outfit to complement her blond hair while Gregg looked dapper in a print shirt and blue jacket as they both smiled for the shot.

Earlier this year, Nene made it clear that no one knows how it is in their home.

"Just the 2 of us," Nene captioned the adorable photo, adding the hashtag "Life Of The Leakes."

TROUBLE IN PARADISE?

Fans and friends of the RHOA couple were in the comment section to gush over their picture-perfect look, but only a few days ago, Nene and Gregg were seen discussing open marriages.

Bravo dropped the trailer for Season 12 of RHOA on September 27, and in it, fans got a sneak peek of trouble going down in the Leakes household.

In one clip, Nene is heard accusing Gregg of "Creep[ing] around Atlanta" while he repeated the accusation in disbelief. The boutique boss then asked:

"How [do] you feel about open marriages?"

Nene and Gregg’s marriage situation, as depicted in the trailer, looks like a continuation from last season’s reunion when Nene flat-out said their relationship is not great.

NENE'S PAIN

At the time, Gregg was at the tail-end of his battle with stage 3 colon cancer, and Nene said:

"Gregg is not a walk in the park. Not even if he didn’t have cancer, he is not a walk in the park. Our relationship is not great. It really put a strain on us. …It would be easy to make a decision about divorcing Gregg if he didn’t have cancer. I don’t want to live my life unhappy."

CONSIDERING DIVORCE

The RHOA vet also told host Andy Cohen that divorce is not ruled out in her books. "I can’t tell you anything that I’m going to do," she confessed. "I feel like I have been pushed up against a wall, and I’m coming out as 'no' … Anything is possible; we just have to see."

While dealing with Gregg’s life-threatening diagnosis, Nene was open about how frustrating it was sometimes as her husband’s caretaker. Gregg himself took responsibility for his selfish attitude and asked for her forgiveness in an emotional Instagram post.

NENE'S TRUTH

Living their life before millions of TV audiences has left the Leakes open to varied public reactions about their marriage, but earlier this year, Nene made it clear that no one knows how it is in their home.

"People think they know, but they have no idea," she captioned a snapshot of her and Gregg.

Gregg has since been declared cancer-free, and per IB Times, he even underwent the last surgery for his treatment plan in June. Hopefully, he and Nene can work out their issues now.

NeNe and Gregg first tied the knot in 1997 but divorced 14 years later. Two years later, in 2013, they reconciled and walked down the aisle a second time.
