The Atlanta Public Schools Police Department is currently investigating a physical fight between students at North Atlanta High School, where a student and her mother allegedly attacked a 14-year-old girl in the bathroom.

That girl was the daughter of Sierra Gates, and the entire thing was captured on a video. The clip allegedly shows multiple girls struggling inside a bathroom stall, while others observed the fight.

According to district spokesperson Ian Smith, the parent was not supposed to be at the school premises at the time, and they are investigating why the altercation happened.

"The Atlanta Public Schools Police Department is investigating a physical altercation that occurred at North Atlanta High School, allegedly involving two students and the parent of one of the students. The parent was inappropriately provided access to the building by the student."

THE INJURIES SUSTAINED BY THE 14-YEAR-OLD CHILD

Gates' attorney, Adamma McKinnon, revealed that Paris obtained a black eye, scratches and bruises on one side of her face, and the back of her head, which were inflicted by the parent.

Realizing that the school isn't safe for her child, Gates went on to ask for suggestions on good Christian schools in Atlanta, hoping to get her child away from the toxicity in her previous school.

THE CONTINUOUS SEARCH FOR ANSWERS TO END BULLYING

Every time another story of bullying is shown on the news, people clamor for answers on how to make it stop, especially with its severe implications on the physical and mental health of children and teenagers.

Recently, a teacher from Texas decided to cut her hair short to support a child who was being bullied for her hair. 5-year-old Priscilla Perez would wear a hat to school to stop her classmates from bullying her, and this did not sit well with her teacher.

ENCOURAGING FRIENDSHIP AND CAMARADERIE

To teach her pupils a lesson, the teacher decided to give her a boost of courage by chopping her hair off to the same length as the little girl.

Up until today, school districts around the country continue to find meaningful ways to end bullying and instead encourage friendship and camaraderie between students in their local schools.
