The 51-year-old star, who had been at home for over a week following the social distancing recommendations to avoid spreading the virus, posted a selfie wearing a hoodie and looking under the weather.

“After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus,” Cohen wrote.

Cohen’s announcement came only a few hours after he had revealed to his followers that he would be taping his talk show from home starting on Sunday amid the coronavirus outbreak.

However, Cohen said that as much as he would like to push through and do the show from home, he was “putting a pin in that for now” so that he could focus on resting and getting better.

WORRIES ABOUT HIS SON

While Cohen didn’t mention his son Benjamin on his Instagram post, some people have expressed their concern about the baby boy, considering that he had been “hunkered down” with Cohen at their home for a few days.

On Monday, Cohen did his SiriusXM radio show, “Andy Cohen Live,” from home, and according to People, he mentioned then that a neighbor in his building had coronavirus.

He also mentioned that he was avoiding having friends over at his home to protect his family from the quickly-spreading virus.

Still, Cohen admitted he went out with Ben for some supplies and got some food for his neighbor with coronavirus, which he left at their door.

Then, on Wednesday’s episode of the radio show, Cohen said he had a fever on Tuesday, took a Tylenol, and the fever went away. He added:

“So there you go. There was a fever knocking at my door; it’s not there anymore. I don’t know what to say."

In the same episode, Cohen said he knew one more friend who had the virus and mentioned that an audience member of John Hill’s “54 Below” show had tested positive too. Cohen was a guest on the show on March 11.

Cohen said that as the days pass, people would realize that they were in touch with someone who had the coronavirus weeks ago. According to the World Health Organization, the incubation period — meaning, the time in which symptoms could appear — is 1-14 days.
