Hola!: Richard Gere Welcomes 2nd Child with Much Younger Wife Alejandra Silva at 70

70-year-old actor Richard Gere has secretly welcomed his second child with his wife, Alejandra Silva. The bundle of joy is the "Pretty Woman" star's third child in total.

Congratulations appear to be in order for actor Richard Gere and his wife, Alejandra Silva, who have birthed their second child, a baby boy, together.

The news, which was confirmed by Hello! 's sister publication, Hola!, stated that the couple is spending quality time together as they bond with their new son at their ranch on Pound Ridge.

Although the duo welcomed their first child, Alexander, back in 2018, they also have children from previous relationships.

According to Hello!, while 70-year-old Richard shares 20-year-old son, Homer, with his ex-wife Carey Lovell, his wife is the mother to seven-year-old, Albert, from her marriage to the businessman, Govind Friedland.

Richard and Alejandra met in Positano in 2014 when the actor came to stay in Alejandra's family-owned hotel. After they fell in love, Alejandra converted to Buddhism and then moved to New York.

The "Pretty Woman" actor and the Spanish activist seemed to be living in marital bliss after they walked down the aisle in April 2018. Hello! recalled that after the ceremony, which was held at Richard's Pound Ridge ranch house, Alejandra expressed her joy, saying:

"I feel like I'm in a true fairytale. I feel like I'm in a true fairytale. Without a doubt, I feel like the luckiest woman in the world."

Richard, whom Hello! revealed asked out Alejandra by sending her flowers until she agreed to date him, added that he was "the happiest man in the universe."

The "An Officer and a Gentleman" star also praised his wife for being "a beautiful woman" who was "smart, sensitive, committed to helping people, who's fun, patient, who knows how to forgive."

Back in 2019, the site disclosed that Richard and Alejandra met in Positano in 2014 when the actor came to stay in Alejandra's family-owned hotel. After they fell in love, Alejandra converted to Buddhism and then moved to New York before they exchanged vows in the previously mentioned romantic ceremony.

The duo has continued to grow stronger despite the 20-year age gap between as Alejandra claimed that her man was more energetic than she.

In fact, the mother-of-three mentioned that they didn't pay any attention to their age difference as the most important thing to them was helping those around them. Alejandra also admitted that It helped that she was neither a model nor actress as their lives as humanitarians helped them focus on what was really important.
