Kate Middleton & Prince William Clap for Key Workers Along With Their 3 Kids

On Thursday, April 23, 2020, the Cambridges took part in the #ClapForOurCarers initiative. The family of five joined together to clap for healthcare workers on the doorstep of their home.

Prince William and Duchess Kate led the latest week of the Clap for Our Carers initiative and this time they were joined by their three children. The royal couple is parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The family of five all wore blue to honor NHS healthcare workers and other essential workers who were facing the novel coronavirus pandemic daily. The Cambriges shared a clip of the event on the social media account, Kensington Palace.

BRITONS TAKE PART IN CLAPPING INITIATIVE

In the clip, the Royal Family was joined by as millions of Britons who also helped to salute key workers from their doorsteps and other places across the country. The initiative has been going on for five weeks and started on March 26, 2020.

Even Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla joined in from Birkhall in Aberdeenshire. Prime Minister Boris Johnson also participated with his fiancée Carrie Symonds.

WILLIAM AND STEPHEN’S ZOOM CALL

In the video that the Cambridge couple shared, it started off by showing Stephen Fry reprising his role as the “Black Adder’s” General Melchett. Fry spoke to William via Zoom and the pair had a hilarious exchange before they went outside to take part in the initiative.

THE BBC’S FUNDRAISING SHOW

The footage was in conjunction with the BBC’s fundraising show, “Big Night In.” Kate’s look for the evening appeared to be inspired by her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

KATE MIMICKS PRINCESS DIANA’S LOOK

Her floral Ghost London dress was similar to the ones Diana had worn. Looking at some of the late princess’s ‘80s looks, one would see the resemblance.

Right before she married Prince Charles, Diana wore a similar design, which included a polka-dot print. This week, William and Kate celebrated an important milestone for one of their children.

CELEBRATING LOUIS’ BIRTHDAY

Little Louis turned two and his parents paid tribute to him by sharing several new photos of him. The toddler was photographed while playing with rainbow-colored paint.

In Britain, the rainbow colors have become a symbol of hope during the COVID-19 crisis.
