With most people stuck in their homes amid the coronavirus pandemic, some celebrities have decided to let their hair grow since they are unable to visit the salon.

Actor Christopher Meloni took to Twitter on Friday to share his surprising facial transformation. While revealing his new look, Meloni shared two selfies with one showing him with a clean-cut and the other showing his fully grown beards.

With Christopher's post, he joined Patton Oswalt on his "Hibernation Challenge". Oswalt had previously shared a tweet where he showed off his equally surprising and hilarious transformation.

Despite Meloni's bearded look, fans flooded the comment section where they shared their love for the new look. One user wrote:

Another follower of the actor wrote that Christopher looked better with his hibernation transformation. A third user, however, expressed a contrary opinion where he stated that he preferred a clean-shaven look on Meloni.

Christopher's bearded look is an addition to the increasing number of celebrities who have embraced their growing gray hair during the ongoing quarantine. This, however, isn't the first time Meloni is sporting a ruggedly handsome look.

Before getting his big break as an actor, Meloni had worked as a bouncer, a personal trainer, and a bartender.

In a 2016 picture, the "Man of Steel" star rocked his full beards while striking a pose with his co-star, Mariska Hargitay, in New York. He captioned the picture:

"Meeting peeps NYC #hanginWithAFriend."

Although Christopher left "Law & Order: SVU" back in 2011, it was recently announced that he would return for the 22nd season of the show.

In a statement by Warren Leight, the showrunner, he explained that Meloni's character, "Elliot Stabler," would appear in the new season. He said:

"It's pretty clear that Elliot will be in the SVU season opener. I think that much I know."

Leight further explained that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it remained unclear when filming of the 22nd season will begin. He also stated that it was unconfirmed if the rest of Stabler's family would appear in the upcoming season.

The news of Christopher's return came only a month after it was announced that his character would be getting his spin-off show about leading a crime unit.

The spin-off is slated to air on NBC. Before getting his big break as an actor, Meloni had worked as a bouncer, a personal trainer, and a bartender.

He eventually broke into the spotlight after starring as the son of a hot-headed Mafia in the 1996 thriller movie "Bound." Christopher Meloni is married to production designer Doris Sherman Meloni, and the couple has two children together.
