Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip are preparing for their annual summer vacation to Balmoral Castle. There have been earlier speculations on whether the trip will hold.

Following the novel Coronavirus lockdown, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip have been confined to Windsor Castle due to adherence to safety measures.

While many royal activities were either canceled or put on hold, there were odds concerning the Queen's annual vacation.

QUEEN ELIZABETH IS SET FOR SUMMER

Speaking to a Buckingham Palace official, People gathered that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philp were getting ready for their trip to Balmoral in Scotland.

The Queen and Philip would take their leave for Balmoral in August while making sure to stick by safety rules. The spokesperson shared,

As regards social distancing, the Queen's usual entourage would be downsized for their trip to Balmoral. Following the confirmation of Queen Elizabeth's annual vacation, plans have been put in place while Windsor Castle will be re-opened for slated visitors.

THE QUEEN'S PUBLIC APPEARANCE

It is worthy of note that the British monarch and her husband, Prince Philip, have been keeping to the social distancing rules since mid-march. However, it seems royal activities are gradually returning to normal, as the Queen made some recent public appearances.

While this year is no exception, there might be cutbacks on some outdoor activities.

Queen Elizabeth, 94, was present during the Knighthood celebration for Captain Sir Thomas Moore at Windsor Castle. The Queen led the occasion on Windsor Castle's grounds while Moore was accompanied by his family members. The 94-year-old monarch was also photographed at her granddaughter, Princess Beatrice's wedding.

HOW THE QUEEN ENJOYS SUMMER VACATION

According to Princess Eugenie, who is Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter, Scotland is the monarch's happiest place on earth. Over the years, Queen Elizabeth has fallen in love with the highlands.

When she is in Scotland, Queen Elizabeth resides in her summer home at Royal Deeside, Aberdeenshire. During vacation Prince Philip and the Queen are usually relaxed while indulging in picnics, taking walks, and attending official events.

Prince Philip, who is known for being an expert at grilling, often takes the time to show his culinary skills. While Philip handles the grill, Queen Elizabeth sets the table. There is usually no staff around.

During her summer break in Balmoral, Queen Elizabeth makes sure to have many dogs around her. She also enjoys activities like horseback riding, fishing, and hunting. While this year is no exception, there might be cutbacks on some outdoor activities.
