MEET THE WINANS-LOVE KI
Winans is married to Pastor Alvin Love with whom she has two children, Alvin Love III and Ashley Love. Ashley is married to Kenny Philps while her brother, Alvin III is an award-winning gospel artist.
He also worked with his mom on her 2017 album, "Let Them Fall in Love" for which he earned award nominations including a Grammy for Best Gospel Album.
On Instagram, the family could pass for picture-perfect as they document their sweet moments. One such is a Christmas family selfie with the lovely Winans-Love clan posing by a Christmas tree and rocking bowler hats with big smiles on their faces.
CECE'S LIFE AWAY FROM THE SPOTLIGHT
While Winans (real name Priscilla Marie Winans) is the recipient of numerous awards including 12 Grammy awards, and a record-breaker for gospel best selling albums, she is more content with her life away from the limelight.
While recuperating, she got to spend time at home with her family.
More than anything, Winans experiences joy from watching the congregation convene at her co-founded church in Nashville.
At the Nashville Life Christian Church, Winans serves as a senior pastor alongside her spouse. She believes that her role as a senior pastor has helped her serve people more.
WINANS' CAREER
It seems that her path in music was defined from childhood as she came from a gospel music dynasty. Most of her siblings are also into gospel music. Raised in Detroit, Winans began her career alongside her brother, BeBe, in Nashville.
Following her move to Nashville, Winans watched her career grow with several albums going platinum. Her duet with late star Whitney Houston was a resounding success while her solo career was nothing short of impressive.
Her shift to full-time bible ministrations does not affect her music as she has been able to fulfill her gospel desires.
HOW SHE HANDLES FAMILY LIFE
According to Winans, God has a way of slowing one down. This she said in reference to her career and how she was soaring high while her family "missed the mark" a few times.
Winans explained that her children grew accustomed to a spotlight mom but there came a time when she had to rethink the most important things.
This happened in 2008 when she got a health scare. She suffered a stomach infection and underwent surgery. While recuperating, she got to spend time at home with her family which was a blessing for her.
