Gabrielle Union Goes on a Double Date with Dwyane Wade, Daughter Kaavia, and Her Stuffed Toys

The celebrity couple’s only child together was born for the spotlight and even when her parents are all dressed up, it is their little bundle of joy who gets all the attention.

47-year-old actress Gabrielle Union knows how to quarantine in style and every now and then since she started to self-isolate with her husband and their little daughter, the two get all dressed up for a date night at home.

August 9 was such an occasion, with Union taking to her Instagram feed to share a slideshow of images of herself accompanied by her husband of six years, 38-year-old former NBA player Dwyane Wade and their 1-year-old daughter Kaavia.

“Double Date with me & @dwyanewade & @kaaviajames & Seal-y 1 & 2,” Union captioned the post, tagging every member of the family (that is right, even Kaavia has an Instagram profile), and even mentioning Kaavia’s stuffed toys, also in the picture.

As her parents try different poses in front of the camera, Kaavia can’t stop looking at them and she finally interacts with them, catching their attention and making the most hilarious and adorable facial expressions.

Kaavia’s antics didn’t go unnoticed, and several of Union’s fans and followers took to the comments section to say something about the outgoing toddler.

“Kaavia loves her parents, look at that smile,” wrote a user. “Kaavia stole the show,” added another person. “Aw, I love how she looks at you! Love and awe, mama,” another user said.

A SAFE DATE

Even though Union and Wade have made big efforts to stay at home to avoid contagion from COVID-19 during recent months, a few weeks ago, the couple allowed themselves to go out for a safe date.

Mid-July, the husband and wife posed for pictures shared in Wade’s social media feed as the two attended an open-air drive-in concert at Calamigos Ranch in Malibu. The event called Audi Presents: Summer Drive-In Concert featured singer Kehlani.

A MIXED FAMILY

Apart from sharing Kaavia with Union, Wade is also the father of three older children from a previous relationship.

There is 18-year-old son Zaire, followed by 12-year-old daughter Zaya who recently revealed she identifies as female. Last but not least, there is 6-year-old son Xavier.

After his teenage daughter came out as transgender, Wade openly gave her his full support and he has shared that all he wants is for his daughter to be able to succeed in whatever she wants to pursue and that his love for his children is unconditional.

Wade also commented on how his wife shares parenting duties with his older children and that they all solve their problems by sitting down and dialoguing instead of having a more authoritarian approach.
