Viola Davis Celebrates Actor Mike Colter's Birthday with a Stunning Selfie of the Two Together

American actor Mike Colter turned 44 on August 26! To mark his big day, iconic actress, Viola Davis paid tribute to him on Instagram, alongside a lovely photo of the duo together.

Since going public with their family connection, Hollywood icons Viola Davis and Mike Colter have established that their connection went beyond shared ancestry.

On Colter’s birthday this week, the legendary actress took to Instagram to pay him tribute through a touching birthday message.

The 55-year-old shared a picture of them together, portraying their family bond. The shot showed the duo standing side by side, all smiles as they posed for the selfie.

Davis’ birthday tribute which has since garnered over a hundred thousand likes and several comments portrayed the pair as the ultimate family goals. The actress wrote:

“Happy birthday, Cuz! Hope today is all you want it to be,”

She accompanied the message with a series of smileys. Following the post, several fans joined the outpouring of love via the comment section, wishing the “Evil” star a happy birthday.

Others reflected on the sibling-bond evident in the picture while reflecting on how great they were related.

He also revealed to his followers and the rest of the world that the “How To Get Away With Murder” actress was his second-cousin.

Although the two have known each other for barely a year, that was all the time it took to make up for the years lost between them.

Addressing why they never met earlier despite knowing they were cousins, Colter, who has kept himself busy with the Netflix quarantine anthology, “Social Distance,” divulged that their busy schedule was a major contributor.

It can be recalled that Davis and Colter met for the first time last April despite that they both lived in Los Angeles and worked in the same industry.

Shortly after the meeting, the 44-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a pic of them together. He also revealed to his followers and the rest of the world that the “How To Get Away With Murder” actress was his second-cousin.

According to Colter, it took them a week to stage the meet-up and they bonded over coffee. He also got the chance to meet up with Davis’ mom who was his mom’s niece and they reminisced old times.

The story of the duo’s meet-up and connection after over four decades apart is proof that indeed, “family is everything!”
