Michael's heartwarming post comes about a month after Gene passed away at the age of 83. This came as a shock to the NFL player who shared a special bond with his father.

However, he maintained a positive outlook and said he was sure his father's spirit lives on. He concluded by encouraging fans to spend enough time with their family and let them know how much they are loved.

With a special gift in football, Michael received a scholarship to play at Texas Southern University in Houston. In college, he made incredible records and soon got the attention of NFL scouts. By 1993, he was drafted into the NFL.
Over the next decade, Strahan would set an impeccable record in his career and was eventually ranked fifth in NFL history at the time he played his final game. With his achievement in football, Michael has made a name for himself, and there is no doubt that he has made his parents proud.
