A couple of days ago, Tina Knowles' grandson by Solange Knowles, Julez, celebrated his 16th birthday. The proud grandma took to her Instagram page to commemorate the day with a throwback shot featuring herself, Solange, and the celebrant. She captioned the shot:

"You have always been my little star !!! My beautiful Grandson, Daniel Julez Smith @julezjsmith, is 16 years old. Happy Birthday, Baby. I love you!..."

Shortly after, she shared another photo. This one captured herself and the 16-year-old Jules standing in front of large balloons that spelled "happy birthday Julez." The boy was more than a head taller than her– a fact Tina joked about in her caption. She wrote:

Tina takes her job as a granny very seriously. She believes that "being a grandmother is the best job in the world," and spoiling her grandkids is one of her favorite pastimes.

The entrepreneur once told People that she often encourages them to ask for toys, especially noisy ones, just so she can get even with their parents.

Tina has spent a large percentage of her life raising her daughters, Beyoncé and Solange to be compassionate and upstanding people and she's doing the same thing for their kids as well.

At the Lena Horne Prize event honoring Solange at the Town Hall Theater in New York City on February 28, the 66-year-old entrepreneur revealed her desire to give back to her family and other less fortunate people.

Tina wants to be remembered for making a difference, and it is a legacy she wishes to pass on to her kids and grandkids.
