Fans were taken aback after seeing Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union’s little angel, Kaavia smiling in a series of photos: “GUYS SHE’S SMILING.”

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade’s daughter, Kaavia James is an Instagram star with over one million followers, known for her cute photos and videos with a particular facial expression.

Recently, fans were taken aback by the one-year-old’s smiling photos showing her pearly whites. Little Kaavia displayed her short curly locks while her hair was being fixed and flashed a sweet smile at the camera.

“Love her smiling pictures,” one fan said, while another user was shocked with the rare sighting of a smiling Kaavia. “GUYS SHE’S SMILING,” the comment read.

The celebrity couple welcomed their little angel via surrogacy in November 2018, following several treatments for Union’s infertility issues and miscarriages.

The actress initially thought having a child would not be a problem until she was diagnosed with a type of endometriosis with tissues growing outside her uterus, whereas it normally grows inside.

The 47-year-old snapped a picture of her toddler wearing underwear and furry boots while sitting beside her mom, who looked beautiful in an orange dress and hoop earrings.

At the time, the former “America’s Got Talent” judge felt like she let herself, her husband, and many other people down because of her struggle to conceive a child.

However, things changed when Kaavia was born. Union embraced motherhood with open arms and took her fans along on the journey, revealing that she lost time for herself in the process.

During the first weeks, the proud mom could not sleep well or shower regularly as she took care of her daughter. Despite the time lost, her heart was full and happy becoming a first-time mom.

In an interview, Union revealed that Kaavia had a phase where she did not nap, keeping the actress up and about with no time to shower. “I took the quickest shower of all time,” she shared.

Union knew that she would be making several mistakes as a new mom which is why she welcomed all sorts of advice to be better and learn from both her mistakes and others’.

Of course, motherhood did not come without criticism. In April of this year, Union faced backlash after posting a photo of her one-year-old without a shirt.
