People: Kourtney Kardashian Did Not Foresee Friendship with Travis Barker Would Become Romantic
Kourtney Kardashian reportedly did not foresee her friendship with her now-boyfriend would be romantic. News of Kardashian and her longtime friend Travis Barker dating recently came to light.
Kourtney Kardashian reportedly revealed that she did not expect her friendship with Travis Barker to become more than that. A source disclosed to People that she was just as caught off guard at how their friendship developed from “just friends” to romantic partners.
“Kourtney is very happy with Travis. She wanted to confirm their relationship because it’s something positive,” the source revealed to the outlet.

The 41-year-old made her relationship with Barker Instagram official this week. “She was single for a while and didn’t expect that their relationship would turn romantic,” the source adds.
According to the insider, "She feels very fortunate. She loves spending time with Travis." Last month, another source revealed that the pair had been seeing each other for about a month or two.

The source added that they had been friends for a long time, but their friendship had turned romantic. It further stated that the musician has always liked Kardashian.
In another stance, Barker has previously made cameos on the hit reality show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.” Since they started dating, they have spent time with each other’s families.
On Tuesday, the reality star reportedly confirmed that she and Barker are dating as she posted a snapshot of them together holding hands. She was slick about it as she did not even caption the photo, but pictures don’t lie.
According to Complex, the songwriter also commented on her post with a black heart emoji. Not only that, but he also reposted the picture on his Instagram account. Love is in the air!
FIRST VALENTINE’S DAY
The new couple also spent their first Valentine’s Day together on Sunday. According to People, the pair shared matching photos with a crackling fireplace, both on their Instagram Story.
Barker reportedly posted a snapshot of what may be a gift for Kardashian for the occasion: a diamond anklet. The "KUWTK" star also showed her romantic side and wrote a poem about the drummer's former band, “Roses are red, violets are blue, garlic bread, Blink-182.”
TIMELINE OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP
Their newfound romance has been under the radar for a short period, and it has a foundation of 15 years of friendship. Kardashian and Barker first met back in 2006.
At the time, the Poosh founder’s sister, Kim Kardashian West, was Paris Hilton's assistant. Hilton was also dating Barker then. In 2015, Barker reportedly revealed that Kim organized all of Hilton's clothes whenever they traveled.
The record producer encouraged the mom of four to make their reality show happen after starring in his reality series, "Meet the Barkers" in 2005. The show ran for two seasons, following his then-wife Shanna and their two kids.
In 2017, Barker moved to the same neighborhood as Kardashian, a gated community, and the pair reportedly instantly started having private dinners at each other's houses. After Kardashian split from her then-boyfriend Younes Bendjima in 2019, she went out with Barker for dinner.
The Blink-182 star reportedly revealed that he loves her and her family but just as friends. It seems after a decade of friendship with a lot of things in common, their romance is blossoming.
