Anthony Anderson Is Father of 2 Adult Children Who He Cut Off for Their Own Good
Anthony Anderson is a rich and talented actor. However, he is keen on ensuring his children work hard to get their wealth. Anthony cut his children off from his bank account and gave reasons for his actions. Find out what he said!
Anthony Anderson featured in the 2015 TV series "Richie Rich," and in 2018, he starred in "All About The Washingtons." With numerous movie characters to his name, Anthony is most famous for his role as Dre Johnson in the ABC sitcom "Black-Ish."
In the series, Anthony takes on the role of husband and father of four kids, but in real life, he is a doting father to two children — Nathan Anderson and Kyra Anderson. He shared his lovely children with his wife of 22 years, Alvina Stewart.
Every father's dream is to see their children surmount challenges and achieve commendable milestones, and Anthony is making sure his kids do that the right way.
Despite amassing so much fortune as an actor, the star started teaching kids early about financial planning by encouraging them to start saving at a young age.
ANTHONY TALKS ABOUT HARD WORK
Anthony strongly believes in handwork, which fuelled his decision to cut his two children off from his bank account. In an interview, the "Black-Ish" actor made it known that he and his kids engaged in discussions about planning for the future and financial literacy.
Anthony explained that everything could be rosy today, and tomorrow, tragedy might strike. Even though the comedian does not fund his children's bills, he still shares a healthy relationship with them.
During a chat with an interviewer, Anthony confessed to cooking and making meals for his kids. According to him, it did not matter if they wanted different meals simultaneously; he would eventually do it. Anthony also joked about being a better cook than his wife and made his plans to go to culinary school.
INSIDE ANTHONY'S LIFE AS A FATHER
Anthony and Nathan's enviable bond is an inspiration to so many fathers and sons in the world. The father-son pair are frequently spotted at different red carpet events and game nights.
The actor and his son have been photographed at several gatherings, including the 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, a 2015 basketball game between Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves, amongst others. Most importantly, Anthony is supportive of Nathan's choice of career.
NATHAN ANDERSON: THE RISING MOVIE STAR
The young star is followed in his father's footsteps as he quit college to pursue a career in the movie industry. During a chat with Rachel Ray, Anthony revealed that he wanted Nathan to play the role of Andre Jr. on "Black-ish."
However, his hopes were far-fetched because, according to Anthony, his son had "too much swag" to play that character.
Currently, Nathan is climbing the ladder of success, as he has featured in Netflix shows. On the other hand, Anthony's daughter has no interest in being an actress and is currently enjoying her career as a doula.
In March, Kyra celebrated her first Doula Week with a heartwarming Instagram post. The raving beauty shared a picture of herself, alongside a caption that admitted how much of a fantastic journey it had been.
According to Kyra, she always envisioned herself doing work that centered around wellness, black healing, empowerment, and nourishment.
In another post, she shared her first Doula experience with her Instagram fans and followers, tagging it as "beautiful and intense." She expressed gratitude for having an excellent first client and how they were able to support each other.
