Brad Pitt Took Ex to Home Where He Wed Angelina Jolie & 'Didn't Care' If the Star Lashed Out, Source Claims

Brad Pitt has been talked about a lot for the wrong reasons, one of which was when he took his girlfriend to his and Angelina Jolie's French Estate on their former wedding anniversary.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are not together anymore and appear to be at loggerheads continually, but their time as a couple was filled with many beautiful moments.

The pair's relationship began in the mid-2000s, following their first meeting on the set of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." During the entirety of their romance, Pitt and Jolie made the headlines on multiple occasions, one of which was when they purchased a French Estate, Château Miraval.

The Hollywood icons had purchased the property in 2008 for $28.4 million to build a family wine business and bring up their kids.

Indeed, the pair appeared to be more focused on building a happy family, as the "Those Who Wish Me Dead" actress would reveal that they were in no hurry to get married, despite being together for many years. According to Jolie, they were waiting for the perfect time with their children and work to walk down the aisle.

After dating for almost ten years, Jolie and Pitt's perfect time finally came. The former lovebirds exchanged wedding vows on August 23, 2014, in the Chapel of Château Miraval.

The ceremony, which was quiet and private, took place in front of only 20 family members and friends. Jolie donned a plain white floor-length antique lace and silk wedding dress for the occasion, while Pitt was clad in a cream linen suit.

Indeed, the former couple was beautiful to watch on their big day, as they said handwritten vows with tears in their eyes, telling themselves how much love they had for each other and their family.

It was an excellent day for Jolie and Pitt and their kids, who were actively involved in the beautiful celebration. "It was important that the day was relaxed and full of laughter. It was such a special day to share with our children and a pleasant time for our family," the ex-couple confessed.

Unfortunately, it was only a matter of time before the movie stars began experiencing problems in their union. A source made it known that Jolie and Pitt started fighting, making the latter escape to France.

Eventually, in September 2016, after two years of marriage, the mom of six filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. According to Jolie's attorney, the actress decided on the family's health.

The announcement shocked the world as Jolie and Pitt were spotted together in mid-July 2016 and had just celebrated their second wedding anniversary on August 23, 2016.

Sadly, celebrating a second wedding anniversary could not prevent the duo's union from falling apart. After his split from Jolie, Pitt found love again in the arms of German Model Nicole Poturalski. The pair were first spotted together in November 2019 at Kanye West's Opera performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Then, in August 2020, Poturalski and Pitt's relationship was confirmed after they were spotted at the Le Bourget Airport in France.

"They were seen driving in a chauffeured vehicle that took them to the airport for their next flight. They took the one-hour flight and were spotted arriving in the South of France," an eyewitness revealed.

Sources also made it known that the duo was on vacation. Then, Pitt sent netizens and outlets into a frenzy after taking Poturalski to Château Miraval. Surprisingly, their visit to the French Estate took place on what would have been Pitt and Jolie's fourth marriage anniversary.

Undoubtedly, the actor knew his actions would cause a reaction from his ex-wife, but a source told US Weekly that Pitt was not bothered. According to the source:

Unfortunately, despite the vacation and lovely time spent together, Poturalski and the award-winning actor's relationship was short-lived. In October 2020, barely two months after their France vacation, Page Six revealed that the couple had broken up.

However, the outlet explained that the split had occurred before their revelation. According to a source, Pitt and Poturalski's relationship was never "all that serious."

In September 2020, just like a majority of the public had expected, The Mirror revealed that Jolie was not in support of Pitt's relationship with Poturalski. According to an insider, who opened up to the outlet, the actress was "furious and utterly stunned" that Pitt could stoop so low.

"She was highly hopeful they could dial down the intensity after a terrible summer of fighting, but now, that's totally off the table," the insider noted.

It was also reported that Jolie was offended that the actor was excitedly jumping around with his girlfriend instead of keeping his love life private.

"The fact that he's taken them to her marital home is just beyond tacky and inappropriate. However, Brad wants to cut it," the insider said.

To date, many believe Pitt's actions with his girlfriend in France prompted Jolie's application to sell her 50 percent share of the Château Miraval in 2021. Reports revealed that Pitt was dissatisfied with his ex-wife's actions and sued her.

According to the filed court documents, Jolie had tried to sell off her part without giving the actor the first option to buy her out. Unfortunately for Pitt, suing had nothing on the actress, as she still successfully sold her part of the Estate. To date, Pitt and Jolie continue to be estranged, and their divorce is tagged as one of the messiest in Hollywood.
