Angelina Jolie Looked like a 'Normal, Tired' Mom Dropping Daughter off at College as Brad Pitt Remained Absent

Brad Pitt was nowhere in sight when his daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, was dropped off by a tired-looking Angelina Jolie at college. Fans had a lot to say about Brad's absence, with some blaming Angelina for it.

Angelina Jolie might be a well-known, high-profile celebrity as an actress in famous movies, but still, she's also an average mother who was proud of her children, most recently, her daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt.

In July 2022, the "Wanted" actress took to her Instagram account to share a rare post. The image showed Zahara half-squatting as she posed alongside other girls, with some of the young girls sporting Spelman College regalia.

In the post's caption, Angelina revealed that the girls in the photos with Zahara were her Spelman College "sisters." The actress congratulated the group for being first-year students at the college in 2022 and added this about the institution:

"A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl."

In another Instagram video post by Morehouse College, Angelina was seen dancing the electric slide alongside her daughter and the institution's alums, including those from Spelman. Morehouse said the event was a send-off for the incoming first-year students.

Zahara's mother made the news for participating in the event and showing off her dance moves. Angelina's daughter's transition to college proved to be a treat for the star's fans, who saw her being an ordinary parent.

ANGELINA IS A "RELATABLE" MOM

After Angelina announced her daughter was off to college, another Instagram post showed the mother dropping Zahara off. The college's Vice President for student affairs, Darryl Holloman, put up the post.

The first image in his thread showed Angelina standing alongside what seemed to be another parent at Spelman College. Angelina was dressed in an all-black outfit with a blouse, matching pants, and open-toe shoes.

The following post was a video where the star greeted someone before being asked what she felt about sending Zahara to college. The "Lara Croft" star confessed that she was becoming emotional and was ready to cry.

Angelina admitted that she would try to hold the tears in until the next day's ceremony and was "excited" to become a Spelman "mom." The last image in the slide was of Zahara standing alongside her mother and Holloman in a room while getting ready to live dorm life.

In the comment section, several fans shared their opinions about Angelina. One person felt the star was "just a mom trying to hold it together" before leaving her daughter behind at school.

Someone else thought the actress was "kind and down to Earth." A third person congratulated Zahara before noting how Angelina had raised an "amazing daughter." in a family with diverse backgrounds.

The diversity the fan was talking about was Zahara's multiracial siblings. Another Angelina fan couldn't help by gush over the way the actress arrived at the college looking like an average person, writing:

“She looks so relatable. Looking like a normal tired mother. Dressed in loose pants, plain shirt, slippers, no makeup and quick messy updo. I ❤️ it.”

Some other person felt the star had done a "great job" raising her children to stay "connected to their roots." Another fan thought going to college was great for Zahara but thought Brad was supposed to have been allowed to attend the milestone too.

The Instagram user believed Angelina had turned their children against her ex-husband. The fan noted how the actress was the only one the public saw with the children even though Brad had been there before the divorce and probably paid a lot in child support.

BRAD'S TAKE ON HIS DAUGHTER'S COLLEGE ADMISSION

In August 2022, Brad was interviewed by Vanity Fair, where he shared his thoughts on Zahara's admission into Spelman. The "Bullet Train" actor confessed that he was proud of his daughter's achievement and praised the teenager, saying:

“She’s so smart. She’s going to flourish even more at college. It’s an exciting and beautiful time to find her own way and pursue her interests. I’m so proud.”

At the time of the interview, Brad was away at the premiere of "Bullet Train" in Los Angeles while his daughter was preparing for her fall attendance in Atlanta. Altogether, the actor and his ex-wife share six children.

By the fall, two of his six children would've left home for college. Maddox, 20, in August 2022, was attending South Korea's Yonsei University, with Brad confessing that it was difficult for him to see his children growing into adults.

"The Lost City" star noticed how time went by quickly with his children growing up "too fast." The Oscar Award-winning actor admitted that the transition brought "a tear" to his eyes, a statement he made about one of his other daughters in an early August 2022 interview.

Brad [Pitt] said he wanted them [his children] to decide on their own whether to get into creative arts or the spotlight, like him and their mother [Angelina Jolie].

Speaking to Brad while he walked the red carpet for the "Bullet Train " at Los Angeles' Regency Village Theatre, he spoke to Entertainment Tonight about Shiloh Jolie-Pitt. The then-16-year-old had made headlines the previous months for her impressive dance skills.

The "World War Z" star used the teary eye phrase to describe his pride in Shiloh before adding how the teenager was "very beautiful." Speaking about all his children and their goals and growth, Brad said:

"I love when they find their own way, find things they are interested in and flourish."

Speaking about Shiloh's viral dance videos, the actor laughed as he joked that he didn't know where the little girl had gotten her moves from because he had two left feet! The star also clarified that he wouldn't stop his children from doing anything they wanted.

Brad said he wanted them to decide on their own whether to get into creative arts or the spotlight, like him and their mother. Angelina's ex hoped they'd discover the paths that led them to happiness.
