William "Billy" Christopher Stamos was born in Los Angeles, with his father sharing a picture of him snuggling on his chest. The actor revealed that the boy's first name was a tribute to his late father.

John noted that from that point forward, his "best part" would always be his son and wife. The star also had advice for people who were trying to have children later in life or first-time parents sharing how fear was expected and shouldn't stop people from taking that step, saying:

"If men in their mid-50s are afraid of taking it on, I hope I'm setting an example. It's a little harder because he runs faster than I do, but other than that, it's the greatest thing in my life. I'm so happy I did it."

The "Big Shot" actor recalled how he'd always wanted to have children but hadn't thought he'd meet the right person to do it with. He convinced himself that he had everything anyway and shouldn't be greedy.

Luckily for him, McHugh was "an incredible mom," but the couple tried to have romantic nights together whenever they could. John said the sleepless nights and chaos that came with having a child, four in 2022, and his father's lookalike, was what he'd always wanted, adding:

"My dreams came true 100 times over."

Sadly, the actor wasn't feeling too good toward the end of 2022. However, he was lucky to have someone who continued looking after his son and ensured he was doing better too.

On the other hand, John was dressed in a red and white cap and what looked like a pajama top. In the caption, the star left a hashtag explaining how the post was meant to be an appreciation for McHugh.

He shared how his wife was an example of someone who put their money where their mouth was. John said he'd been home sick and didn't explain his ailment but shared that the actress was handling everything for them.

The star shared how McHugh was in Michigan over the weekend before returning home so she could take their son to school. She also went to an audition, voted and canvassed, and had dinner with some people and a representative.

He explained how he'd gone in for a quick and straightforward elective procedure, which was meant to be a fast process. However, the doctors admitted him for a trigger finger, but he promised to be up and running as he was getting good care.

He thanked his fans for their good wishes more than a week after he'd celebrated his birthday. According to E! News, the trigger finger medical condition occured when a thumb or finger was locked up in a bent position, usually from excessive use.

It often got resolved through time and rest, but some severe cases needed surgery "to alleviate the inflamed tendon." The condition might've affected John as he often performed as a drummer for The Beach Boys.
