Jack Black's Kids Are as Talented as Their Famous Dad: More about Samuel and Thomas Black
Jack Black's kids, Thomas David Black and Samuel Jason Black, have shown interest in filmmaking. They are both talented and creative, with Samuel into martial arts.
Jack Black is one of Hollywood's most beloved comedy actors, most recognized for his role as Dewey Finn in "School of Rock." He also starred in "High Fidelity" and voiced the titular character in the animation "Kung Fu Panda."
Black also made audiences laugh in the 2017 film "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle," alongside Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillian.

Although he played several characters in the past, Jack's most important role was being a father to his two kids, Samuel and Thomas David, whom he shares with his wife, Tanya Haden. Jack shared about fatherhood:
"I'm the dorky dad that my boys are humiliated by. They're always like, 'Shut up, Dad. You're so dumb.'"
Jokes aside, Jack can also be stern with his children and enforces schedules in their home, such as going to bed and waking up for school on time. As a public figure, fans have grown curious about the actor's personal life and family, including his two boys.
Samuel Jason Black Already Landed His First Movie Role
Jack and Haden first announced the news of her pregnancy in 2006, a year after they started dating. In June of the same year, the couple became parents to their son, Samuel Jason Black, born in Los Angeles.
At nine months old, Samuel had already been hearing about music from his father. Jack would talk to his son about rock bands and guitars while changing diapers despite Samuel's young age.
At 15, Samuel showed interest in the entertainment industry and wanted to make a movie about Jack's Hollywood adventures. His father fully supported Samuel's interest and told him, "My stories are your stories. That is what I can bestow upon you."
Young as he is, Samuel already has one on-screen credit under his name, voicing one of the Rabbit Villagers in "Kung Fu Panda 3." His dad proudly shared about his son's short career during an interview.
The doting dad allows his sons to watch mature content as long as a parent or guardian is present and is ready to pause the film when it gets too intense.
Thomas David Black Exhibits Martial Arts Talent
A year after Samuel's birth, Jack and his wife announced her second pregnancy and welcomed another son, Thomas David, in May 2008.
While Thomas has also shown interest in filmmaking, he is more interested in martial arts. While on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Jack revealed that he and his youngest son practice martial arts together.
The "Nacho Libre" star also gave a glimpse of their life at home, where Thomas jumps out of nowhere like a ninja to surprise his dad. For Jack, nothing beats spending quality time with his boys, who are his top priority.
Jack Black Once Opened Up about His Unique Parenting Style
When it comes to parenting styles, some of Jack's ways may not be preferred by others. The doting dad allows his sons to watch mature content as long as a parent or guardian is present and is ready to pause the film when it gets too intense.
He also believes that, when watching such shows or films, parents should talk to their kids and explain what is happening such that the children would understand that the scenes are not for their age.
Jack has been raising his children with his wife, Tanya Haden, a talented singer and cellist. The couple first met as students at Crossroads School in Santa Monica. It wasn't until 15 years later that Jack mustered the courage to ask her on a date and eventually tie the knot.
