Michael Douglas Celebrates Granddaughter's 5th Birthday with Rare New Photo

Michael's granddaughter, Lua Izzy Douglas, is the child of Cameron Douglas and his wife, Viviane Thibes. Cameron is one of Micheal's three children. His siblings are Carys Zeta Douglas and Dylan Michael Douglas.

Lua's proud mom and dad shared a photo of their daughter enjoying herself on a swing. Her mom wished her all the best for the new year and said she loves her endlessly. Like her husband, Catherine is also a doting step-grandmother. She commented on the post, saying:

When Michael's second grandchild, Ryder T. Douglas, was born in December 2020, the actor refrained from meeting the new baby. Due to Covid restrictions, Michael kept his distance to ensure the baby boy remained healthy. He only met the baby a month later, and he captioned a post:

"First time I've seen my month old grandson, Ryder!"

In the accompanying image, Michael could be seen beaming while he held little Ryder in one hand and a baby's bottle in the other. The grandfather was overjoyed to finally meet the newest addition to the Douglas family. In another post, Michael congratulated his son and his partner on the birth of their second kid:

Besides the birth of the second Douglas grandchild, 2020 held a few more surprises for the family. Sadly, Michael's father, Kirk, passed away on February 5, 2020, at the astounding age of 103. The family also celebrated the 101st birthday of their step-grandmother, Anne Douglas.

The entire family paid tribute to their "Oma" with Instagram posts and loving birthday wishes dedicated to Anne. Michael thanked her for being a great stepmother, while Catherine thanked her for everything she has done for the family over the years.
