Mara Wilson Has Never Had a Husband – A Look into Her Personal Life
Who is Mara Wilson's husband? It's a question that many fans want the answer to about the 35-year-old actress known for her role in the 1993 comedy/drama film "Mrs. Doubtfire" and the 1996 classic "Matilda."
When it comes to the actress's personal life, she keeps it private, and on her Instagram page, there are no signs she's dating anyone. All she posts are photos of her friends as well as her pets.
Wilson admitted that whenever she did interviews, she encountered the question of whether she had a boyfriend or not. What amused her most was that she was asked about it since the age of six when she was just a little girl.

The actress, who rose to fame at a young age, disclosed that there were times she would get advances from guys claiming she was their childhood crush and wanted to date her—something she found very weird. Wilson remains cautious about revealing anything to do with her love life despite being in the spotlight.
Mara Didn't Have a Boyfriend until 18
Despite Wilson saying no to many guys who made moves on her, she badly wanted a boyfriend. In her memoir, "Where Am I Now?" the actress-turned-writer stated that she desired to connect with someone on an intimate level.
She revealed that she wanted someone to hold her hand whenever they went for a walk and experience how it felt to be kissed. When she turned 18, she relocated to New York to attend New York University; that's when she met her first serious boyfriend, Sam, who was also a freshman and had enrolled in a writing course.
Like Wilson, Sam was a secular jew but always skeptical about things. In her biography, Wilson stated that when they began dating, she was the unreliable and funny one, while Sam was the sensible one. So, it was Sam's duty to always put her in check.
Wilson said that even before she had the opportunity to share the news with her family and friends, they had already found out through the media.
Wilson and Sam's relationship was short-lived; the pair finally broke up while still in college. Wilson revealed that the break-up devastated her, but since she was preoccupied with school and work, it didn't affect her much. However, after she graduated, their split deeply impacted her, and she drowned in depression.
Mara Was Upset about How She Came Out as Bisexual
In 2016, Wilson shared a throwback photo on Twitter from when she visited a gay club when she was 18. She captioned the snap of her in a pink halter-neck:
"Me at a gay club when I was eighteen. I feel embarrassed looking at it now."
She then wrote in the Twitter thread about being aware she was a "straight girl" who did not belong there. Wilson added, however, that she had a wonderful experience at the club and that one of her friends met her partner there.
The post attracted many comments from her fans, who were curious to know if she was a member of the LGBTQ+ community. A few days later, Wilson confirmed to fans on Twitter that she identified herself as bisexual.
A few hours after she went public about her sexuality, Mara Wilson began trending countrywide. Even though she got the courage to reveal who she really was, she felt upset about the turn of events.
Wilson said that even before she had the opportunity to share the news with her family and friends, they had already found out through the media.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, the actress revealed that she was disappointed for a few days and kept questioning why she made such a move. Wilson said that if she had another chance to reverse events, she would never have come out the way she did.
