John Abraham Hewson Proved Himself in Sports - Facts about Bono's Son
John Abraham Hewson is the youngest of the four children of Bono, the iconic lead singer of the 80s Irish band U2, and he has always been kept out of the limelight.
U2 lead singer Bono and his wife, Irish activist Ali Hewson, are the proud parents of four children, of whom John Abraham Hewson is the youngest. Fans of the singer may have seen his three older children, but John Abraham Hewson stays out of the public eye.
His siblings all have work that takes them into public life and can often be seen with their famous father at red-carpet events, but John prefers to keep a low profile.

Paul David Hewson, AKA Bono, met his wife Alison Hewson when she was 12 and he was 13. The couple married in 1982 and welcomed their first three children, Jordan, Eve, and Elijah, in 1989, 1991, and 1999 respectively.
The couple welcomed John on May 21, 2001, and Alison immediately declared that he would be the couple's last child. She said:
"The house is full enough. No more kids. That's it; we are done, and we are very happy. Definitely no more kids. We are over run as it is."
While his big sister Jordan is a Forbes-listed businesswoman, Eve is a successful actress, and Elijah is the lead singer in the band Inhale, John's life is a mystery, with little or no social media presence.
His Parents Did Not Spoil John Abraham Hewson.
John may be the baby in the Hewson family, but that doesn't mean he was spoiled or indulged by his doting parents. Alison and Bono want their children to know how lucky they are and that many children live in poverty. Alison commented:
"We have taken them to the townships in South Africa. And although they have much more than Bono and I did growing up - Bono's dad was in the postal service my mum and dad had an electrical business - we don't spoil them."
None of the Hewson children, including John, have been raised to be "rock star kids." John and his siblings grew up quietly in Dublin, far from the fuss and the hype of London, New York, or Los Angeles.
John's brother is following in their dad's footsteps into music, his older sister Jordan is the founder and CEO of a tech company.
John Did Not Take Advantage of His Father's Popularity
His dad may be an international icon and the lead singer in one of the most enduring rock bands of all time, but John's not interested in being the child of a celebrity. His dad revealed that when he went to drop John off at school, the boy asked:
“Would you mind dropping me off at the corner?”
In his autobiography, "Surrender," the singer revealed that part of the adventure of being a dad has been to watch his children develop in different directions and especially to see his son John discover his talent as a sportsman and a rugby player.
John Is the Most Private among His Siblings
Throughout their childhood, when U2's fame was at its height and their dad spent a lot of time touring, their parents did their best to ensure that John and his siblings lived quietly and had normal childhoods.
As the Hewson children grew up, they each chose their path. John's brother is following in their dad's footsteps into music, his older sister Jordan is the founder and CEO of a tech company, and his sister Eve is the one with the highest profile of the four.
She is a successful actress who has worked with Clive Owen in the TV series "The Knick," played Tom Hanks' daughter in Steven Spielberg's "Bridge of Spies," and costarred with Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx in "Robin Hood."
She was spotted with Brad Pitt at the 2022 F1 Grand Prix in Austin, Texas. As for John, he has kept his private life out of the public glare with a private Instagram account and minimal social media presence.
