The actress and her rarely-seen daughter stunned with their likeness and looks when they went out to the SAG awards in matching outfits.

Christine revealed why it was her "last awards show" and addressed how her disease changed her and her perception of herself.

Christina Applegate has been bravely fighting a disease for a number of months and has credited her family and friends with helping her get through some of the most challenging times.

Now, she has shared how much her daughter has done for her while she has been ill. Applegate attended an awards show together, which the actress confirmed would be her last.

Applegate has faced breast cancer and multiple sclerosis (MS) in the past couple of years, but she had had an excellent support system on whom she could lean when she was facing bad days.

She says one of these people is her daughter, Sadie Grace LeNoble. Sadie was born to Applegate and her ex-husband, Martyn LeNoble. Now, Sadie has become one of her mother's biggest cheerleaders.

However, before Sadie, Martyn LeNoble was among the first people to be there for Applegate as she suffered health struggles. They began their relationship in 2009 when Applegate was diagnosed with breast cancer.

At the time, Applegate was a young woman and had to undergo a double mastectomy, but he was by her side through it all. Applegate shared:

She mentioned they began their relationship when she was going through a vast amount of loss, and he helped her through things she didn't know how to handle at the time. Applegate confessed he was an "incredible help" to her.

After falling in love in 2009, Applegate and LeNoble took their relationship to the next level by getting engaged on Valentine's Day in 2010. Before they could walk down the aisle, they welcomed their daughter in 2011. Applegate said her daughter "healed her in so many ways."

The couple finally tied the knot in 2013, and Applegate said her family had become her primary source of happiness during her times of struggling with her illness since she was diagnosed.

When asked about how she was handling motherhood and what she thought about having a daughter, Applegate gushed:

"You can't explain it … she's just made my life so much better. I've been sad for a long time, and she's just opened, my soul."

The actress admitted she felt she had not realized what she was missing until she held her daughter for the first time. She then said her daughter brought a feeling of renewal into her life.

How Did Applegate and Her Daughter Stun Fans in Matching Outfits?

The Screen Actors Guild Awards were held in February 26, 2023, and Applegate was in attendance, with Sadie by her side. The pair arrived in matching black outfits and stunned fans with their lookalike appearance.

Applegate wore a black dress with a long train and matching double-breasted blazer. Her cane, which she has begun using since her MS diagnosis, was also black and decorated with silver embellishments.

Sadie was just as stylish as her actress mother in a black trench coat, black trousers, and patent black boots. The boots were finished with mustard yellow laces, and Sadie paired the look with a black newsboy cap.

The mother-daughter duo took the red carpet hand in hand and posed for the paparazzi as they walked. They chatted as they walked, and Applegate whispered to her daughter as they posed.

While the pair were a vision walking the red carpet together, Applegate said this awards show would likely be the last she would attend in her career. Her cane, adorned with the letters "FU MS," insinuated the reason.

Why Did Applegate Call Her SAG Appearance Her "Last Awards Show?"

Applegate joined the Screen Actors Guild in 1975, and this is the sixth time the actress has been honored. Joking about why she was nominated, she said:

"But no, it's a skill, because I'm nominated for a SAG Award, it's skill! Skill! Technique! Skill!"

The actress said being at the SAG Awards is terrific for her because she is surrounded by the people she has worked with for many years and built strong relationships with.

Citing why she took her daughter along, Applegate revealed her daughter had hoped to meet her idol, Natasha Lyonne. The actress thought her daughter might be able to run into her at the awards.

While she wanted to make her 12-year-old daughter's dream come true, she also admitted that fans should not expect to see her at another awards show or even on TV again because of her health.

Applegate said she could no longer imagine waking up early in the morning, traveling to a set, and then spending twelve to fourteen hours shooting a movie or TV show. She admitted she only has the energy for healing right now. She said:

"It's my last awards show as an actor, probably, so it's kind of a big deal."

The actress said her plans for the future are simple; she wants to manage her MS diagnosis as much as possible, so she feels well enough to do voice-over work and other less strenuous projects. She plans to keep working to support herself and her daughter.

She admitted it has even been difficult to watch herself on the last season of her Netflix show "Dead to Me" because she doesn't like to see herself struggling and having gained so much weight.

The actress said she gained forty pounds because of all the medication she had to take and the fact that she could not walk or exercise. When she did watch, she said she took breaks from watching because it was painful.
