Frankie Moore was born on January 24, 2023, at 7.1 pounds, 20 inches. Shemar Moore broke the news of his impending fatherhood earlier that month on Jennifer Hudson's talk show.

While introducing his first child to the world via social media, the "S.W.A.T." star remembered his mother, Marilyn, who had always wanted a family for him. At the gender reveal on January 9, the model said, "I'm so excited about this portion of our life together."

The actor lit a tiki torch commemoration to his mom, who, after taking a tour of the property on January 26, 2000, said, "This house is my son's home." That was the last time he saw her, she passed away on February 8, 2000. Three years later, he brought home his daughter on the same day.
